Yes, here, until the 70's, Fiat had a good reputation, but, until this decade, produced spawn retreading and horrible things that truth, they fear and disgust. Above are very overrated. produced spawn retreading and horrible things that truth, they fear and disgust. To make matters worse, the brazilian market is even worse than here, which is buying these stuff without spending a penny on new products.

@Sandie: yes.
"ROMAHOME" ??? Sorry, due that name it's unthinkable for me. I've too racistic minds for that, I admit it.
@Gomsel: the Italian made Uno's weren't better. As the most Fiat's they had a bad reputation, cheap materials, unreliable, rust-problematic.
I remember, when I've started my job in 1991. I had my first K 70 then, an orange 1973. A fellow has bought then a brand new Uno "It's a brand new car. It's better for your reputation than such an old junk, as you has. The girls preferring new cars, so I'll have better chances at the weekend", he exactly had said.
And what happend? All our colleagues have talked positive about my old clunker, but had have heavily loughed about the Uno. "Aaah, what an idiot! Spending so much money for such a fucking shitbucket".

@ Ingo... Like this?
If it is then it's a Romahome. They are very popular for some strange reason. The newer ones are based on the Berlingos.

but, ingo... sure those Uno's, are better than the South-American mades. Probably, the worst car ever made in Argentina in the times of SEVEL (80's-90's). Among the enormous defects of structure was weak, insecure, the body is corroded, made with very poor materials. In short, disastrous. The only good thing was the engine "Tipo".

A propos Fiat Uno. In the last weeks I've seen even two Uno-based Campmobiles, on in Germany, one in Holland.
And two Citroan Visa-based Campers, both in Scotland with British plates.

Well, in the Narcosur (AKA Mercosur), all the "regional cars" are UGLY and unsafe. It's incredible, but the 1983 Fiat Uno it's the one most sells.
