I did not know that there were so many links, last time that I checked there were at most 10

I've changed the template into:
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-{{{make}}}{{#if:{{{model|}}}|_model-{{{model}}} }}.html {{{1|{{PAGENAME}}}}}
If someone is interested, here is a list of pages where the two templates might be usefull:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Linksearch&target=www.imcdb.or- g&namespace=&limit=500&offset=0

If you stuble upon one url, it might not be easy to find the right text to put in the parameter to make the template work

I use Apache URL-rewriting rather than redirecting pages in PHP, but what does it change in this case?
You can also do that:
http://imcdb.org/vehicle?id=1234/Chevrolet/Chevelle
(but this style is not made on purpose, it is due to the fact that extensions can be omitted and that it discards all what is after page name)
I'd recommend to only use the style that is the easiest for you, and do not care about the others, as they give the same result.

Well, I see now, it would make things easier if they all redirect to one url, but what the hey.

Both work in the same way, like for movies. You do not especially have to make something for the two kinds of URLs. You can chose one of the two.

Interesting, it makes things a little easier to know that it's the imdb id number.
I hope you know wiki, because things are going to get complicated. [[Template:imcdb movie]] looks like this:
http://www.imcdb.org/movie_{{{1}}}.html
So I only need the imdb id number in the first parameter, no matter what the url for Chips in black was. But things are going to get complicated now.
[[Template:imcdb]] vehicle looks like:
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-{{{1}}}.html
Some one wants to add an imcdb link to the article about [[Morris Marina]]. There are two kinds of urls that I know of that lead to the imcdb page
this is easy: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-morris_model-marina.html it's easy,
but what about this one: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=morris&model=marina
I'm just thinking, no matter where people are, they should all have an easy code that they can put into the first parameter.

Nice
But what should be fixed? Both URL are valid. First one is for better referencing in Google, but the part after the first dash is not important:
http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1004509120-Chips--Chips-In-Black.html
http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1004509120-Anything.html
http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1004509120-You-write-what-you-want.html
So it is simply a way to include title in URL, but if it is complicated, you can use the URL that contains only the IMDB number.

I just thought I'd tell you about two new templates that I created at en.wikipedia.org
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Imcdb_vehicle
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Imcdb_movie
The problem is that urls keep changing.
http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1004509120-Chips--Chips-In-Black.html
http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=1004509120
is the same title, can this be fixed?
