@chicomarx, @antp: is it worth a visit? http://www.funcars.be/flanders_en.php
I'm pondering about it. On one side it would be the first car-event for me since months and Gent is an interestion town. On the other side it's 275 km one way for me, the entry with 13 € not really cheap (the market in Malmedy was in a shorter distance, only 5 € entry and it had a nice atmospehre with the many classic cars of the visitors).
And last but not least: in September I will be in Gent anyways, to our autumn-club-meeting.

Now in many companies there is the time to plan the vacations for the next year. I have a lot of 2013-days left over (this year we didn't made any big vacations, just some days in Scotland), so I have some more days to place in the calendar.
So I've asked my wife "Aren't you interested to visit Southern England, Cornwall, Stonehenge and maybe London again? To be on vacations at our wedding anniversary, wouldn't be that great?" After she agreed and I've reserved some days in the vacation-schedule I told her "Oops, what a coincidence! http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/spring-autojumble is at the same time! I think, it's worth to spend the Saturday there then"

Is anyone thinking to go there http://www.siha.de/acs.php?m=1 ? Two years ago (being there after several years again) I was disappointed. Open spaces between the dealers, high prices (the only collectible, I could buy -but for a very very good price- was one http://www.auktionshop-ku-ki-an-troe.de/shop/01/automobil_revue_1969_04.jpg ), so it wasn't worth.
Otherwise it was good, that we had been ready with the show soon, because my wife went with me (she has no interest in such events at all), so we had enough time to made a long sightseeing walk across the town.
Or maybe I'll go to http://www.autotron.nl/evenementen/internationale-oldtimerbeurs-automobielen-extra-speciale-autoshow again, but I'm not sure yet.

@rjluna2: would this be interesting for you? http://www.handlewithfun.com/over-view.cfm I know, micro cars aren't your favourite, but it will be in Georgia.
Sorry, ingo I am not really in the micro cars except for the old Matchbox cars that I have in my collection. But, thanks for the tip
Besides, it is pretty far and I am currently attending college part time right now

We are planning to visit SCO again in 2013, maybe also Glasgow, as we hadn't been there until now, but not in January. But the "Histo Monte" (nickname in Germany) is too boring, that I would go there. Always the usual boring car-stuff, masses of old Benzes, Porsches, Jags, Mustangs, Big Healeys and so on. All the clunkers, which are cluttering up other classic car events, if the organisators aren't careful.
And striped Austin Maxis :

@dsl, @Sandie, @mudflap: in my actual classic car magazine was an article about the 2012 http://www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/events/edinburgh.htm Has anyone of you visited it?

So less of a problem for me as the main thing is not until the afternoon and the display in the morning is just around the corner from the train station.
The showcase of Scottish Heritage cars will take place on Buchanan Street mid morning on Saturday, January 26, before the Lord Provost waves off the first car at about 2pm from Glasgow Green. Please note these times are approximate but we will update them as soon as they are confirmed, so watch this space...

Thinking of an imcdb meet?
This would be great. IIRC there were not many of them until now. I've met once Animatronixx and once 130rapid and a long time ago there was nice pic of the fun-having party-people antp and sixcyl
