Looks like a 1957 Dodge to me, possibly a Coronet.


That's what I thought too. But when I did a Google image search on the '57 Dodges and '57 De Sotos, the De Sotos had the ridge down the center of the hood and I didn't happen to see one in the Dodges.

Here's a show you probably never expected to see on this site, since so precious few cars ever popped up and most talked about car on the whole show, Rob's "Tarantula," was never even shown. This small sampling of images is it for the entire series, which was filmed in front of a studio audience and made precious little use of establisher cutaway shots.

The series pilot was originally called "Head of the Family" and starred Carl Reiner as Rob. It aired one time in the summer of 1959 but was never part of the syndication package. It's considered an extra on the DVD set (season one) and that's how I will treat it.
