Congratulation to your recent buy on a great used car, walter

It looks immaculate, wise choice.
How your garage, as you call it, hasn't blown away yet is a mystery though. I poured concrete on steel poles to support fibre-cement roofing, wood side-paneling, when I should have used a party tent. Damn...

Well, walter lives there, where millions of people like to make holidays in the mild and warm Mediterranean climate.
Something total different than the rough, stormy and salty North Sea-neighborhood of the chicomarx-village.

Indeed, "so many km" was a little exaggerated.
My 206 had 114 000 km and 10 years, it was looking bad mainly due to many small scratches on the body. If the required fixing (normal for a car of that age and km) were done, it could most likely also still run for some time.

@ antp > I hardly ever used the Audi as work car indeed... It's too precious for me
Anyway, 157.000 Km is rather a low mileage for this kind of car.

I found the IV and V rather boring (but I like the newer ones), but it is still interesting to find one in good state after do many km
And it is good to have that one to not use too much your Audi as everyday car

The gearbox of my '99 Toyota Yaris (the car I used to drive to go to work) broke down some weeks ago, but I decided not to repair it since it was simply not worthy. I was going to find an Audi A2, but suddenly I found this: here you are the Yaris replacement:
a 10/2003 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 Time with the GPL. It's one of the last Golf IV series produced: 1 preceding owner (my current employer ), 157.000 Km with full VW Service history, absolutely mint conditions
My "new" garage:
Well, it's obviously nothing special, and I know... It's not an Audi But it still belongs to the same "family", and this will be my work car-only (besides my family "mule"), so it doesn't matter at all. And the fourth series of the Golf has always been my favourite one, besides the first series: I don't like very much the latest ones (V,VI,VII), for example.
