Anyway, it was intended to be a generic model, nothing more. It's like the upcoming Lolux, a customised pickup with most body panels removed. Because of the pun name, everybody will say it's based on a Toyota Hilux, but it's probably just a generic design.

I'd say it's closer to a Minicab. Meanwhile, the not-Wikia-anymore article mentions a Daihatsu Hijet too.

i might have some of them
red unknown flat bed truck
orange Land Rover pick-up
red Monaco/Fury/LTD ( not sure which one they tried to represent, single headlight might suggest the Mopar twins )
not sure if they are Tomte but they have the same wheels as in Ingo's link
sadly, i can't take a pic of them right now as the camera is dead and i don't have a cell phone

you mean like my Escort or a different toy maker ?
I think, he mean the Norwegian "Tomte"-cars

Right now I don' t have the time to check them, but I still own a Mercedes 190 SL, a Rolls Royce Silver Wraith(?) Convertible, a Ford Thunderbird Convertible, a truck, a Renault Caravelle and a tow truck.
But the tow truck and two 1967 Mercury Cougar-rubber cars are looking different. The have different wheels and IIRC they are not made by Tomte, but by a West German company.
