We use GM Suburban whenever we aren't sure if the concerned vehicle is branded Chevrolet or GMC.

I thought all non-Chevrolet Suburbans were strictly GMC Suburbans, but I see many listed simply as "GM" Suburbans instead. Why is this, and what is the difference?
