The Gimp vs. YouTube

Somebody told me that a program called "The Gimp can actually freeze & save pics from videos shown on YouTube. It was actually the person who sent me one of the pics I got from Daria(the one with Quinn being driven in an AMC Pacer). How true is that?

A lot of youtube films are pretty low quality anyway.

Gimp is just an image program I think. Well maybe they added special things for that but I was not aware of that.

Youtube does not use overlay of videocard as it is just a Flash video.
So screen captures can be done easily by pausing the video and using print screen key or using screen capture function of any image editing program.

:wam: :dawa:
Is that so? Then I guess I could just as easily pause those two music videos I posted the links to and sent them here.

Speaking of sending found images, is there anything wrong with those one I found for "Mother Jugs & Speed"(1976) and "Emergency!"(1972), or are there just other projects ahead of those?

I removed the "done" in title of first one (you should have did that so we know that the topic is not "done" anymore  ), so it will be processed when it will be its turn. I do not find the other one in this section, do you have a link to your topic?

I didn't see the "done" in the title of either of them, but here they are.

Of course, I just tried to save the images the way you said I should, and I can't find them yet.

For youtube videos, I doubt that an admin will have time to make captures, as we already do not have much time to upload pictures
