Tomorrow starts the 2008 European Football championship tournament

Here is the tournament schedule. Total of 31 matches in all:

http://www.euro2008.uefa.com/tournament/matches/index.html

I wan't to hear your predictions to these two questions:

Who will win the tournament ?

and

How many goals will be scored in the tournament ?

------------------------------

My predictions are Germany wins and 92 goals in total.

Let's see who gets the closest  Deadline to post your comment is June 10th.

I guess someone in my apartment building is cheering for Germany. I hear a loud "YES!!", I realised that there problably is a Soocer game going, and yes, I turned on the TV and a rerun of a German goal is shown.

Unfortunately Finland has never managed to get to European football tournament  This year it was very close, we would have needed two more points I think.

@CCF: Congratulations!

I (or better we all) would be pleased, if you would think about the photos

I wasn't a good patriot. I just have seen, that the "Original American Choco Cookies", I just ate, were made in Spain.

"Original American Choco Cookies"

Okay, so now I see even cookies are considered an "American" food

What kind of cookies were they exactly? Were chocolate chip cookies or like Oreos or what?

Oh yes, of course.

http://images.calorieking.com.au/branding/dc/runtime/portionsense/339.jpg

I personally do not care for them, they are too dry and crumbly.

Are American brands like this popular or rare in Europe?

Do you have any of these by the way?

Fruit Loops (or other similar cereals)
Coca Cola
Hersheys Chocolate
Pepsi
M&Ms
Oreo Cookies
Skittles
Kool-Aid
Cup o' Noodles
Ritz Cracker
Lays Chips
Doritos
Cheetos
Campbells Soup
Cheez-its
Drumstick (ice-cream)
Funyuns
Pop-Tarts
Nestle Chocolate
Reddi-Whip
Spaghetti-Os

Most of these exist here.

Fruit Loops, Coca Cola (that exists everywhere), Pepsi, M&Ms, Oreo, Lays (was previously named "Smiths" here), Doritos, Cheetos, Campbells, Nestle...
Note that Nestlé is not really an American brand

Do you have any of these by the way?

Fruit Loops (or other similar cereals): Doesnt sound to me
Coca Cola: Is there any place in the world in where this doesnt exist?
Hersheys Chocolate: I dont think so
Pepsi: Sure
M&Ms: I think so
Oreo Cookies: Sure!
Skittles: I think we do, but not under that brand
Kool-Aid: Yes this is an Orange soft drink that comes in powder and has to be diluted ith water to be drinkable? at least in Spain we have something called "Tang" which is practically the same ( http://www.meloncorp.com/arch/0156/tang.jpg )
Cup o' Noodles: Seing it on google it seems like pre-cooked soups or soemthign liek that, no? we have similar things to that then.
Ritz Cracker: I think we do, either salty or sweet, right?
Lays Chips: Sure we do, we have flavours not seen in other countries.
Doritos: Sure we do as well, i guess that these are called nachos in america, in Spain we just call them Doritos.
Cheetos: Sure.
Campbells Soup: Not that one exactly but we have something similar.
Cheez-its: And then you wonder why cheese is very popular in USA  ? i dont think we have this in here.
Drumstick (ice-cream): Yes but in Spain at least they are called "Cornettos" from the brand Frigo or Cornettos which are the drumsticks but with a different name for Europe, or for Spain. ( Extremes http://static.flickr.com/73/190816100_85a0274dfe.jpg ) ( Cornettos http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1403/1389313205_c9c90d80fb_o.gif )
Funyuns: Yes i think we do, but not under that brand name.
Pop-Tarts: I dont think so, what is it exactly?
Nestle Chocolate: Yes, but this is not American but European
Reddi-Whip: Sure, but not under that brand name, we have Spanish brands that make this.
Spaghetti-Os: Are this precooked pasta? we do, but again we have european brands that make them.

Cornetto is different from Drumstick. According to Wikipedia it was bought by Neslté in 1991.
When you sau "not under that brand", he was asking about brands, not about products themselve
Fruit Loops must exist in Spain, but maybe it is called Froot Loops like here in Belgium?
And I doubt that you do not have Campbells soup in Spain  There is also Royco from the same group, but that's maybe less spread than Campbells (wikipedia indicates France & Belgium).

The shape is a little different: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drumstick_(ice_cream)
Anyway, the question was about brands, as I said

@Max: yes, chocolate-cookies like the Chips Ahoy!, so with choco-pieces inside are known as typical American.
"Classic" German choco-cookies had a bit different dough and the chocolate is dripped over or the cookie is dipped in the chocolade.

Yes, I suppose Nestle isn't really American, although America is most likely its largest market.

@CCF- You really don't have Pop-Tarts or Froot Loops? (yes I spelled it wrong earlier, it is "Froot" not "Fruit")
That is horrible! They are such wonderful innovations of science (with all the artificial chemicals, flavors, etc.. )

In fact I just had Froot Loops this morning, although it was an off brand and it was supposed to be healthier and "organic"

Anyway they look like this

and Pop-Tarts

You put them in the toaster
