Why users lose their provider condition?

When picture/s submited are blurred, dark, from trailers, etc (but these pics are the first filling the blanks)... and later are changed for DVD quality....that is well done. Perfect.
But why the providers of these (first) pictures must lose their quality of providers of the film?. Doing that, I think, their work (the first work about any movie or car of it) is later (when pics are changed for better ones) looked down and not rewarded.
I have seen that occasionally with movies provided for others users and, now, with a picture provided by me. I think this way is not very polite.
When I found blanks in "The Big Steal" movie http://www.imcdb.org/movie_99138-The-Big-Steal.html the only pictures submited about this movie were the Jaguar XJ6 [Series I] http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_32155-Jaguar-XJ6-Series-I-1969.html and the Jaguar XJ6 [Series II] http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_32156-Jaguar-XJ6-Series-II-1974.html and, in those days with blank, only the 1964 Nissan Cedric [G31] ( http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_91483-Nissan-Cedric-G31-1964.html ). Wickey, probably I remember, submited some pics too.
I found a good trailer of this movie and I posted in "Contributions" a pic of it. This Nissan Cedric.
"Australian Screen" can be read down at right.
Later Valiant1962 found the DVD about this movie and changed my picture for a better one and others from the Jaguar. It's well done. Perfect.
But, and that's the reason of this post, why must I lose the provider quality of the movie? Why others users can loose this quality in equal occasions?
In this case my work hasn't been rewarded and, doing that, users can be discouraged in futures efforts.
Even more, think that, in future, a better DVD in HD and in a new remastered (this last word I don't know is well used or not) version of this movie appears and the pisc of the movie are changed again for betters ones for other user. Why must Valiant1962 lose his quality of provider of this movie?
This situation, I repeat, it's not new. I think the provider of a picture in main page, initially in blank and/or later changed for a better one, must stay always as a provider of that movie. And if later the movie's pictures are submited in DVD quality, this user must stay as provider and in comments of that car that have been changed must be showed his pictures and saying as usual "XXXXX(user) wrote (and showing his changed picture)". I think this way is polite with all users and all can see our works are rewared.
Thanks guys.

I do not really see what you mean since normally the "contributors" list contains the list of all those who sent pictures, not only the one who provided current pictures.
Was your name previously mentioned for that movie? If so, maybe just notice Valiant1962 that he should not remove other names when adding his.

"normally": you are right. But this it is not first time I have noticed whe all pics of a movie are changed for DVD quality, their first providers are deleted. And this is not my case.
I have no problem to send a private message to Valiant but you must understand an user can't work as a "police" checking all his past submited pics and what can be happening about them. I waited that the situation I explain in my post (probably and partialy unintelligible for my bad english) must be shared among all moderators, and when they change pictures of a movie (all or part of them and I repeat, well done when they change pics for a better ones with DVD quality) preserve and respect the previuos users that are showed as providers of that movie so these first users were who submited the first pics of that movie and in "Comments" of that movie repeat again their previous pics(changed) as usual: "XXXX wrote + changed picture".
There isn't problem antp.

I re-added your name for this movie.
Do not hesitate to mention it when you see this case on other movies: maybe some admins does not know that "normal" rule.
I'll contact Valiant1962 to ask him.

I didn't remove any names from the contributor list, just added my name to the end of the list. And when I replaced previously submitted pics I mentioned in the comments that I had done so and credited the original contributor for the pic.

Just checked the movie page again and it appears I missed crediting vilero when i replaced the Cedric pic. I think I may have only credited the original contributors on the thumbnails for that movie. I have now added credits for original posts to the comments. Hope I haven't upset anyone, it was an error on my part and completely unintentional

Sorry, I haven't been on the Forum for a while, so I didn't see the message or this thread until today.
I do apologise for my error, I know I would be upset if it happened to me. It was never my intention to take your credit away from you. I am a new admin and still working out how to operate the site, and sometimes make mistakes, so I hope I don't make too many.
