let's talk about something different and slightly OT
What do yo listen in your car? Radio? CDs? just engine? share it with us
For me it is mostly 70s, 80s and 90s music, most beloved performers: U2, Mike Oldfield, Queen and almost everything that is old and good + soundtracks of course - Forrest Gump, Elizabethtown etc etc. I really can't stand majority of modern bands.. When it comes to radio, I listen the station with most traffic info

I listen to a lot of different stuff. Classic rock ('70s and '80s), '80s new wave, '90s alternative, contemporary rock, oldies ('50s/'60s), and whatever I can fid that sounds good to me. I absolutely can't stand rap or hip-hop. I'll listen to it if it's not my car and the driver likes it, but I tend to stay away from it in my own car. I can stand country and classic more than I can stand rap and hip-hop.
My main source of tunes comes from the radio. There's this station called Bob FM that plays hits from the '80s, '90s, and "whatever" and it's so awesome. They play some of the craziest things sometimes like "Valley Girl" by Frank Zappa. I also listen to the classic rock station when I want something different. I rarely listen to contemporary stations, but I'll tune in sometimes if there's an upbeat song. I like to sing along sometimes. A few family members question my sanity when I start singing.
For long trips, I have a custom MP3 CD made with personally selected radio stations from GTA3 and GTA: Vice City. They're so funny to listen to, especially the chat stations!

I try to avoid listening to the radio when I can (I hate ads - I listen to the radio for music), but when I do, it's generally one of four local rock stations (mostly one with newer music, "The Edge").
When I'm driving a car with a working cassette player (which means I can connect the radio to anything with a headphone jack), I'll generally alternate between my cds, and my mp3 player, but what I actually listen too depends on my mood, and what it's like outside. Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" is just about perfect for driving at night, Queens of the Stone Age or Fu Manchu (among several bands) are perfect for a little bit of, uhh, "spirited" driving, and I gotta make sure I break out the Beach Boys, while summer's still here.

I try to listen to stations that do not have too much ads Or I change the station when ads start.
Usually I listen to stations that broadcast 70s and 80s music.

I listen to 102.9 DRC FM, North Eastern Connecticutic's oldies station. This station plays 1950s through 1970s. In Alaska, I listen to 99.6 K-BAY FM. Also an oldies station. I also listen to cassettes on occasion in the Tempo, and CDs in my Mom's Venture.

I love driving car with House music/techno (the good one...not techno boom/boom/tchac you can hear out from "tunning" addicts), but also reggae or jazz music, and some time "classic/baroque" music ...it depends on the mood.
Otherwise, I listen to radio like 'France Culture" with no advertisings (that I hate)...
Any way I rarely hear very well the engine , CD/radio beeing always on when I drive

My Land Cruiser came equipped with XM satellite radio, so I primarily keep
that on, I like not having commercials… I listen to AC/DC, The Eagles,‘80s, and ‘90s music. I also like Fleetwood Mac, Creed, and Velvet Revolver. I don’t listen to Rap, Country or R&B, never cared for it, its’ just not me…

In the company car I leave the radio tuned to a 80's pop music or to a hard rock station ... rarely I put any CDs as I never find them after
I got the CD Changer "fixed" with Judas, Aeerosmith, Bon Jovi, Maiden, some '70s rock stuff, AC/DC, some classic ... etc. Just to cover all bases!
I cannot stand rap or r&b or similar staff ... I can accept dance/house stuff, which my girlfriend loves

Just the engine, exhaust, gear whine and tappet noise. I generally detest audio while driving.

I usually listen to 50's, 60's, 70's classic rock, ZZ Top (its not good to listen to that in my Firebird, Too easy to speed) Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Dean Martin, Big Band Sound, It really depends on what kind of mood Im in. In the Firebird, I listen to 500 horsepower, and my T-56 trans.. thats sweet music. I hate that rap crap. I laugh my ass off when a kid pulls up next to me with amps and subwoofers shaking his car to pieces, I rev the Bird and he turns off his tunes.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Phil Collins. Except its in my Mom's minivan, not my car (which is in AK, and I am in CT).
