Individual houses from borders of the city or completely outside of the city usually have big garages like that.
But in the city, where houses are side by side, garages are usually built replacing the room at the front of the ground level, so the space is limited (typical old houses are 6m wide, with 2 or 3 main rooms of 4x4,5m per floor, so if one room is used for that the garage is about 4,5m long - I wonder how people will do with these cars that are getting bigger and bigger
