Gallons and mpg, these strange units 
I have a 45 or 50 L tank (= about 12 or 13 gallons) and the car does between 7.5 and 8.5 L / 100 km (= about 32 to 28 mpg) for mixed use, i.e. not only freeway but not city traffic jam either.
Currently in Belgium the usual gasoline ("euro 95") at its best price is at 1.35 € / L (1.97 $), so 1 gallon is 5.10 € (7.48 $)
Diesel is at about 1 € / L.
