I've always wondered why there so many Fords in the movies and tv? Any time an actor is to drive a classic convertable, it is always a Mustang. Why not a Firebird or GTO? They always use Tauruses or Crown Vics. Why not a Delta 88 or Catalina? It is always a F150 and never a Sierra. Very few films use GM cars, such as Transformers or Demolition Man, and these movies are usually in the headlines for this use, like it is a special deal. Does Ford have a long standing contract with Hollywood to use their cars for any pertinant roles? Or what?
