Indeed there is a folder for each user, but that's mentioned in the message where I presented that picture upload thing 
That number is the user ID in the database, the latest you arrived on the site the highest is your number (hence why my pics are in the folder "2"
)
Managing pictures will maybe be added some day, but do not worry about unnecessary files: I'll write a script which will delete the pics not used in any comment.
