To be honest, I have registered to deal exclusively with this particular topic. I run two websides dedicated to the past and present of the Polish fire service. Hence, fire engines and other vehicles used by the fire services in Poland are my specialty.

Bottom line is, the naming of most of these needs to be revised ASAP.

I'll start with the vehicles made by Jelcz:

Looking at the list, I have to say that although some of these were very nicely identified and named, a lot of stuff is weird or just wrong.

First and foremost, there was no such thing as: "002 GSBAM 2000/8+8", "004 GCBA 5/37", "004 GCBA 6/31", "004 M GCBA 5/37". Here is a full list of communist era Jelcz fire engines (from serial production, that is - prototypes not included):

This is it. There have never been other types, apart from later convesions, done by many different bodybuilders. These obviously do not count.

I'll also be trying to update all individual vehicles one by one.
