My friend eventually found a house in Saint-Girons. So I had to rent (with her money, of course 
) a van for the moving:
Based on a 2006-14 Fiat Ducato Maxi, this van is 8.51 m (27.9 ft) long, 2.22 m (7.3 ft) wide and 3.30 m (10.8 ft) high, with a net weight of 2.78 t (2.74 long tons; 3.06 short tons). As suggested on the side of the van, I'll have to obtain a truck driving license if I need something bigger next time...
