For French people, CD means 1936-55 diplomatic corps plate (fr) (Corps Diplomatique, in French). And a red plate is a 1955-today temporary transit license plate (fr).
What does it mean in "K-70 language"?

Yes, it is a diplomatic plate from the DDR, from the Ambassador's car (the "01").
The clou -for me- is the "57", which stands for West Germany. So it's from

Now I'm waiting for a blue "57" (blue plates were for accredited foreign journalists and other foreign non-diplomatic stuff) and for a West German diplomatic plate with a "160" (an old one, since the 90ies 160 is for Uzbekistan).
And annother dream is to get a -a real one, not a fake, which are swirring around- from

I stay cool. Catching this plate above was again a confirmation of my attitude "Stay relaxed, be patient, establish contacts to everywhere and wait for it". It really works, for every kind of collectibles.
