Not really made for IMCDb-fellows, but asked for them:
From a 1968-book (the photo is from 1966) about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiddensee
It made a journey across the whole DDR, because the "YY"-combination was from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zittau
The first registration was in the first half of 1963.
I try to find out more about the "made for DDR"-Minxes and Imps, but it's very hard to find anything. Even the DDR-car-experts haven't nearly nothing in their archives. And there's not any survivor known.
Shame on me, this is not a Minx.
It's a DAFje, I would say.
Anyways, this makes the pic not less valuable, as it's the first known (by me, the DAF-freaks and the Western-cars-in-the-DDR-conaisseurs) DAF with DDR-registration!
