Yes, it was an US-reimport. Normally nobody here changes his classic car into the US-spec version, excepts sometimes red taillights or overriders. Usually it's all the other way: the owners rip off any US-spec stuff, as -despite the fact, that US-headlights are forbidden here- everyone hates that, the thick bumpers, the side indicators and also the castrated engines..

I've never seen that color before. Is that available in Germany ? I'm asking because in Belgium, the local VW importer has the long time habit of selecting only the dullest colors and seat upholstery.
yes, it's in the official colour-range - my sister's husband owns a Skoda Octavia Combi in the same colour.
