I'm very surprised that I could not find a thread like this already on the forum, but here goes.
Just post pics/info about cars you'd absolutely love to own, drive, or just drool over in your driveway all day
Couple of cars I really like...
1977-79 Oldsmobile Delta 88
Massive, heavy American sedan that I just love everything about. Everything on this car is just so visually satisfying to look at. It's not extremely magnificent like most 1960s American cars, but I kinda like that - in that it might turn some heads, but not too many. The style is just to the point where it's comfortably post-1975, but pre-1990 (modern, but not too modern). Even watching it smoothly sway & rock as it elegantly rolls over hills and small bumps along the road is just such a wonderful sight to me. The 1980-85 ones are nice too, but not quite as large, high door handles (really close to the window still like the Impalas/Caprices of the same time), and with less attractive tail lights.
1970-76/1977-79 Chevrolet Impala (4-door)
I'm torn between the 1970-76 Impalas and 1977-79 ones here....it changes back and fourth from day-to-day. But if I had to, I could settle for the 1980-85 ones as well. Boxy style appeals to me. Pleasing to the eye...
1976 Pontiac Catalina
Yes, I know - I'm a sucker for late 70s/early 80s cars.
Now I know my picks of large, heavy 4-door sedans may be strange to some of you - they're kinda slow and loud, but I'll take it. I love everything about them. I was never really into sports cars and the like, I just want a wonderfully comfy ride with reasonable (great) styling that has long since passed. I'd throw in a small car to be fair, but now that I have my '84 Accord, I'm good on that front!
