My guess is that you'd have to work hard to convince admins for a series like that. But it could be worth the effort provided that the "interesting vehicles" are interesting, and your list of 3 so far suggests it could be a goer and I'd be keen to see them.
However the trick may be to only select those key vehicles and ignore pretty well everything else. I had the same dilemma with Grand Tours of Scotland but seem to have got away with it by only posting the gems - my approach was to ask myself if any GToS viewer actually consults imcdb, which vehicles might they actually be interested in knowing about. And had a back-up idea of including things which might be interesting for imcdb's collection (eg matching up a couple of vintage coaches to existing entries). But I rejected anything else, leaving what is hopefully a small batch of high quality entries.
And I acknowledge your dedication and self-sacrifice in being prepared to trawl through such dire fare for the greater good.
