I just noticed that the show The Amazing Race Asia has been deleted from the site. Why? I contributed quite a few images for this show. antp?? I didn't think that entire shows were just deleted from the site, especially ones that have been up for so many years. I realize that there were only a dozen or so grabs from it, and they were average quality, but still..

I would agree with you on Flipping Out

I hope we're not deleting stuff which has been in the collection for years, even if it would not be allowed in now. The problem it leaves is that some of the posted vehicles may have reference value and/or may be linked into ID comments for other entries, so links disappear into a void. Plus the frustration for people who worked on that show at the time, as contributors or commentators.

No idea what MisterZ's particular example contained, so not commenting further on that case. But I think it's bad policy if that's happening.

Agreed. I'm having trouble remembering what it contained. From memory, nothing very special. The only vehicles I added were some Australian Falcons (taxis) from the New Zealand leg of the race. There was a 1998 EL and another AU or BA I think.

I had something similar happen when I was working on Ghost Hunters. It was reality TV but when I was working on it, it suddenly vanished. It was on the site for a long time so for it to be just deleted without any warning that it was going away surprised me. This was back in March/April of this year.

The "Amazing Race Asia" was 1 episode, missing the other 56 episodes.
It was deleted because someone was trying to upload new international versions of this reality show. They always point to questionable stuff in the database "but you accepted this". Actually it was contributed by garco so didn't go through the approval process.

There are other questionable entires that really should not really be in the database. Some have more vehicles though that are important to keep.

Live and let live to me too. We used to be less strict with that kind of shows in the past, but those old ones should not be deleted now.

In the comments of The Simple Life, it looks like the decision to not include reality shows started in 2011 and most of those titles were submitted before that.
