For adding precision of years/models like for the Freightliners for which you posted list of links, it is fine to do so, but for case like this one where there are comments stating contradictory info it is better to post on the page (as I said, it is also to avoid that later someone posts again the link here thinking that the last comment of the page was missed)


Indeed this one had an issue (not just a browser cache issue), I'm should check what could cause that, as for replacement pics with validation it is different than when admins replace pics themselves (where that issue could occur for known reasons that I should also sometime fix ).
I've just re-submitted the main pic, it updated the thumbnail this time.
