Here is a extremely well done TV Commercial by GM for the all-new 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Sedan. It struck a chord with me as I am a parent of two (other members who are parents here on IMCDb will probably agree)

Enjoy!

Chevrolet Aveo ad:

(was it as parody of the Citroën C4 ad? Or just to use the hype around the Transformers movie?)

I was simply shocked that GM would bash the old version of the Malibu that made only a few years ago to promote thier new Malibu in this "the car you ignore" commercial

(and, yes I realize the car is not actually a Malibu but is the rebadged Olds Cutlass version, but still...)

Someone on YouTube made a short, but nice compilation of SUV crash tests …

… the SUVs being tested? I’ll let you find out for yourself

My knowledge about SUV's is weak, but the Expedition looks better after the crashes than this Chinese-SUV-junk-car (the name?), which was looking like a Opel/Isuzu Frontera-fake.
The crash-test of it was a big desaster. As a result they stopped the export of it.

Any recent car (except Fiat Seicento, though that it is not recent even if still sold) looks better in crash tests.
Well, maybe not all recent ones, remember the "old" Ford F-150... http://paultan.org/archives/2005/11/08/mini-cooper-vs-ford-f-150-crash-test/
26/05/2008 @ 23:08:16: Neptune: Car videos worth watching :)
If I recall correctly people went around saying that all F-150s were not safe after that test. Which is incorrect. Note that the test truck was a SuperCab. The Regular Cab and SuperCrew versions boasted excellent safety ratings. But there still was no excuse for the lower than poor safety ratings the SuperCab earned.

As for the Expedition >> NHTSA rated the Expedition as follows:

Frontal Impact - Double Five Star*
Side Impact – Double Five Star*
Rollover Resistance – Three Star (2WD model)
Rollover Resistance – Four Star (4WD model)

*Highest US Government safety rating that can issued.

Expedition was rated a Top Safety pick and has maintained the Double Five Star honor for the eighth consecutive year in a row.

Interesting
What were these cars?
Last ones seem to be a Peugeot 205 (purple) and - I guess - a Toyota (red), but before that I am not sure.
For the first ones I thought to Ford Aspire but as it seems to be in Australia* it is maybe the Kia equivalent? edit: or Suzuki Swift?

* (even if Peugeot 205 must not have been so common there, I suppose it was sold)

Not sure where filmed. The last I'm pretty sure was a Celica. How cool was he. Rolled in air and kept going!
