"Maximum Overdrive"

For starters I personally do not know what the exact model of the truck is. However my father does, he has seen the truck in person. He also told me were it is being kept in storage… Its been a while since I have been down toward the Castle Hayne part of Wilmington, but if the old Wilmington film studio is still there, that’s were the truck
resides. As far as know the truck has fallen into disrepair. And no anpt, its not a replica, its one of the actual trucks used in the film. As soon as my family comes back from vacation I will ask my dad what the truck is seeing as how he has seen it (He is also a truck driver) so he knows his trucks.

that's sweet...i want to check that out.

i found the exit where the truck blows up while chasing the newlyweeds (route 40E - exit 398- mile marker 399 can be seen in chase).

The houses with the dead people and wrecked beetle are all on Princess St where it dead ends at the National Cemetery (the yellow house on that street was used in Blue Velvet and the kid's house in Dream a Little Dream).

Also found the neighborhood off 23rd st where the icecream truck goes down (Shirley and Kenwood). The house with Deke hides in the bushes before being chased by the lawnmower is on Shirley. They replaced the wood siding with vinyl/aluminum but the window is the same shape.

The park where the little boy got run-over by the roller is near the General Electric Plant.

cool..that'll give me something to keep hunting for.

i also love the little store where the newlyweds stop on Village/Fletcher and Lanvale/MtMisery Rd intersection in Leland

the cars with the flashing headlights were up a block from the traintracks on Lanvale. The trailer that you can see when they cross the train tracks is still there.
