Already discussed: X17 was for the Dacia 1300... As pre-1981 car, it can have the generic [R117] code.

If Export cars (i.e. made in plants outside France: Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Canada, Ivory Coast, Spain, Ireland, Madagascar, Morocco, Portugal, Romania and Turkey), then R1172, R1174, R1178 or R1179.

I'm not interested in false dates... all are X17 http://www.imcdb.org/search.php?resultsStyle=asList&sortBy=0&make=Renault&model=- 12

False dates? I don't understand.
By the way, more than half of the cars in "your" list are R1xx, especially when tightening to the 1969-80 model years (270 R117x // 208 X17), i.e. the European production range. And 3 Renault 12 you linked in your previous post are European cars, the 4th being a 1971 Turkish one...

At least 2 Renault fans sites say that Renault 12 were R117x or R133x, and so do all technical books. Never thought there could be some mistakes in IMCDb? We (IMCDb contributors) are humans, and it's well known that errare humanum est

At least here it seems to be from a movie rather than a documentary. If there are things to reject/remove, it would rather be obscure documentaries.

thanks to a new production still I think it's now proven that it's post production CGI

you must be happy now that it is gone, it is one of those you asked the most often to remove it

I would be happy if there were some real modern big crawler cranes like that to ID, i really miss them...

[...] doesn't focus on vehicles themselves, do we keep it ? [...]

Shouldn't we ask the same question for all movies of the IMCDb, then?
28/12/2014 @ 18:09:27: mike962: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
way to talk about something you are clueless

for docs there is special rules, modern docs need to focus on the vehicles themselves rather than vehicles being just background
28/12/2014 @ 18:09:59: antp: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
No, because they are fiction movies, i.e. the subject of the site; which aren't the documentaries.
But people don't like rules anyway.
