I did not find these two popular films on IMCDb, and thought it well to do the pics of the (few) motorised vehicles in them, which I am zipping and emailing. Hope I am not repeating someone else's work!
Jean de Florette (1986 -
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091288/)has two vehicles unknown to me:
- An autobus with which Ugolin returns from the army in the opening scene XX (autobus*.jpg)
- A motorcycle used by the doctor after Jean de Florette's accident XX (motorcycle*.jpg)
Manon des Sources aka Jean de Florette II (1986 -
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091480/) has six vehicles:
- A light truck unknown in the opening scene X (truck*.jpg)
- An unknown car used by the scientist who attends to the water problem XX (car minor*.jpg)
- An unknown golden brown car in the background of a procession, no full shot of it X (Car Background.jpg)
- An unknown motorcycle standing against a wall on the town square X (motorcycle*.jpg)
- An unknown water truck used to bring water to the village after Manon blocks the source. Only a rear shot available. X(? - it is part of the story in a way) (water truck.jpg)
- At last one I (think I) know - Citroen Type 23 bus used to bring Aimee Cadoret et al to the town XX (Citroen T23 bus*.jpg)
Should you feel I could have tried harder for any of the above, let me know...!

Done.
An unknown water truck are guesses that related to the story, so it deserve 2-stars

Please note the X's that I used above to give my own take on the star rating. Agree on any but the water truck?
17/04/2007 @ 23:40:33: Jun: [done]Jean de Florette & Manon des Sources
Changed to 1-star.
17/04/2007 @ 23:45:03: Citsa: [done]Jean de Florette & Manon des Sources
Please ignore previous - I see the stars are there! Thanks a lot for posting!

I thought that you need 1-star for water truck. I'm sorry
19/04/2007 @ 19:23:15: Citsa: [done]Jean de Florette & Manon des Sources
Not a problem - I'm a little undecided on that myself, and see I did indeed indicate one star. Do you have half-stars in stock?
19/04/2007 @ 19:54:25: Jun: [done]Jean de Florette & Manon des Sources
No half-stars on IMCDb, I think.
And you can change the star by posting the comment

2-star = at least a small interaction with a character, or a role in an action

OK, you probably know Manon des Sources better than I do (esp. since I have to rely on subtitles!), but the role that the truck plays is that it brings water to the town after Manon found the source in the mountain and decided to block it, in the process cutting off Ugolin's water on the Romarins farm, as well as the town's. This was a deliberate action on her part to punish all of them for their collusion in hiding the spring which lead to her father's (Jean Cadoret/ de Florette) death so that the Soubreyans could get the farm (with the spring that they blocked on it) for their carnation-growing.
The whole water issue is central to the story, as is the delivery of water to the town; hence my uncertainty about the role of the truck (which really only appears stationary in one scene). I am really open to your suggestions here.

I do not know it at all
(only by name)
From what you describe, I suppose that we could consider that the truck has a role, so 2 stars.

antp, it is now (at last!) available on DVD. Don't know your taste in movies, but you won't be worse off watching these - I promise. Can still not understand why they are not much higher rated than they already are.

I am emailing two more pictures of the background car in Manon des Sources (the golden brown one that I think might be a Peugeot;
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_100392-unknown.html). The radiator is visible for only a split-second, and I managed to capture that glimpse - maybe it will make it easier to identify.

For additional pictures of cars already listed, you can add them yourself in the comments using

Thanks - have checked that out; will do it in future. Sometimes hard to be a newbie!
