Leaving work one night recently, got behind a 1966 Pontiac Tempest being driven as a daily driver:
On Monday, I had a flat and was at Pep Boys, found a rare 1986 Dodge 600 2-door in the parking lot:
It had LeBaron taillights, but did have "Dodge 600" etched in the rear side windows:
Later someone pulled up in a Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe

montecarloss.com FAQ:

The Aerocoupe option was available only in 1986 and 1987.
Only 200 Aerocoupes were made in 1986 making it the most rare Monte Carlo SS around. They were all identical to each other, with identical options; white exterior with burgundy interior. Check out the 1986 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe Registry for more information. The option code for the 1986 Aerocoupe is B5T. All were built in Arlington, TX.
6052 Aerocoupes were made in 1987. Each was optioned uniquely with all available SS interior and exterior colors. The option code for the 1987 Aerocoupe is Z16. All were apparently built in Pontiac, MI. There were no Aerocoupes in the 1988 model year."
Not the most beautiful design, in my mind. But if I'm not mistaken, they were built that way to allow a more aerodynamic shape for the NASCAR "derivatives", which bodies had to resemble to the production models?

Okay, enough getting images of cars and trucks from websites. I'm going to post one I actually spotted along a busy road near me, which was evidently abandoned!! It was a 1972 Mercury Cougar!!

I know it's only the standard model, but so what? On the other hand, perhaps that was why the owner was so interested in it.

Well, it was unoccupied, and you just don't leave a car like that on an overcrowded two-lane road like Hernando-Pasco County Road 578. Plus, somebody working at the gas station/convenience store across Mariner Boulevard suspected it might belong to some homeless man living in the woods.
