it is more common in North America... but sadly not with those tail lights... :ohwell:

Concerning the bug.. don't know if its same for everybody but sometimes it works fine and few hours later totally out of reach... then works fine... then.. well you know the main idea..

The forum or the site itself? Both are completely separated
Anyway, better to discuss that on http://imcdb.opencommunity.be/index.ks?page=forum_topic&id=7697&index=0 for example

(my dashcam is really bad when filming against the light, some day I should get a better one)
25/07/2016 @ 15:43:08: Purzel89: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
Try it with A-Rival Car Cam. The price is okay for the quality and night videos are pretty good. Filming against light is always hard, i think you will have a hard time to find one that has absolutely no problem with it. But still i believe you have room for improvement.

Do you have a Youtube channel for your Dashcam videos?
25/07/2016 @ 16:50:49: antp: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
I bought it for 50$ (or something like that) on dx.com several years ago, so they most likely have well improved since then - any model will probably give better results.
I still haven't posted "funny" videos of what I recorded (e.g. cars passing at red light); the only one I posted was the road from home to (previous) work place in summer (i.e. low traffic) 2012:

That quality is really terrible. I couldn't tell at first view if the car that cuts you at 1:55 is a driving school, a taxi or a police. It was a police if i see that right. That would explain why you did not use the horn. This would already go into my compilation.

But yes, you need a better camera.

EDIT: And btw, awesome cat videos.
25/07/2016 @ 23:23:43: antp: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
At 1:55 it is a police car indeed (color scheme of Belgian police)
And indeed I wouldn't honk them
The camera quality was good at the time I got it (especially for that price), it had the advantage of recording in h264 format, so the files aren't too big on the SD card. Now I guess all use that format, and from what I saw from a camera bought by a friend, for around the same price you get a way better quality.

4 is a 1986 only Tercel ( CHMSL )
5 is a 1988-1989 ( funny, in the left corner there is a ' report a problem ' link and this one looks like it has a few problems to report..
8 is 1986-1989 by CHMSL and tail lights( or 1990 , in Canada, only the wagon made it to 1990 but i don't know for USA )
18 , 1982 is good but its a Celica only
28 looks like a Cutlass Supreme ( or one of its friends )
30 is a Mercury Cougar
31 black one still unknown to me but blue one is a Karmann Ghia
33 is a VW Rabbit

Nice finds... i had a similar idea for a topic but gave up after spending an hour of getting nothing interesting...

Thanks for many ID's. Yeah L.A. (mainly the poor parts) is loaded with old cars. You can see why car culture is and has been so big here.

1. 1947 Buick Special Four-Door Sedan model 41.
2. 1965 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe.
24. 1963 Plymouth Valiant Convertible.
25. 1956 Chevrolet towing a 1940 Cadillac Sixty Two Sedan for five passengers.
27. 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Sedan.
28. 1969 Oldsmobile, likley a Cutlass S Holiday Coupe.
29. 1964 Chevrolet 4-Door Sedan, I think I can see holes for Impala side trim.
31. 1936 Nash

Man, you sure know your oldies. Pre-1958 cars are all a mystery to me. Can't believe I messed up on #28 like that...

In reply to Reg1992 long post:

11. 1965-67 Ford Econoline Super Van, has the extended length
16. with the pointy nose, it's actually a Dart Sport coupe, the Duster twin
17. Buick Estate wagon rather than Ford
20. looks like a brown Chevelle sedan hiding behind the fence
23. 1972 Honda Z600 coupe rather than the N600 sedan

Reply to Baube:
8. It was the same in the US, only the wagon in 1990

Dude, I didn't even see that hidden car behind the fence in #20! You have a keen eye!
28/07/2016 @ 04:15:55: Baube: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
Saw an ' almost-survivor ' tonight. Not that it is that old ( in the 20-something ) but sooo long since i saw one : Dodge Shadow convertible... couldn't take pic as the Dodge was the one to have a red light.... :ohwell:

'67 Fleetwood, obviously:

Now THIS is an interesting vehicle! Spotted after going to a Weird Al Yankovic concert at the Hollywood Bowl, my mom immediately assumed it must have been Al's car, but it wasn't. It's a 1986-87 Armaretta, built by the Lerini Coach Corp. of Reseda, CA. I recognized the Ford Granada headlights, and assumed it was based off a Seville.
Woman next to me: "Don't you mean Deville?"
Me: No, Seville.

What's more, this was at Ingo's Diner in LA...

I also spotted at least two campers with German plates in Yellowstone, as well as a Blazer with a Sonora (Mexico) plate in LA.

Dashcam pics from the past month.

June 30 to July 4 I took a trip up to Pittsburgh.

Subaru Impreza pulled over on the shoulder of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Not very visible here, but the front end was badly smashed and there was no obvious cause in sight - no other cars, no roadkill, etc. I thought to myself, 'That's odd.'

15 seconds and 1/3 mile later: 'Oh. Yeah, that'd do it.'

Huge Hitachi mining excavator as part of a project rearranging a mountainside (I'm not sure if they're widening the highway or completely rerouting it). I have views from the trip there and the trip home:

Two hour ago, at my Autobahn-exit

The "corruption-exit", as I call it:

http://www.dorstenerzeitung.de/staedte/dorsten/Wettbewerb-Schueler-untersuchten-den-Huerland-Ausfahrt-Mythos;art914,1572238

This exit was exclusively built for a politician of the Helmut Kohl-government, hidden on a rest-are of the A31
The is not even a smell of corruption about the, the local officials are saying - noone believes that.

Popular back then, but extinct nowadays. Spotted one hour ago, when I purchased the last eight bottles of our favourite red wine.
