Very nice! I've noticed that the luxury cars of that time are more common nowadays than the average cars that were common at the time...

Like the Audi too...

went to get grocery and saw a nice 1983-1985 Toyota Tercel Wagon in pretty decent shape... but no pic as i couldn't get close enough to it and then it turned right...

Nice to see that some survived, always liked it ( even have a Majorette one )

There's a handful of 80's Tercel wagons down here. There's one I used to see every day on my route a few miles north of here (I don't take that route anymore but it's probably still on the road).

Here's a handful of pics, some old (and crappy) and some new. Confirmed the exact model year of some cars by license plate lookup.

Invest in a dashcam! My Accord has one but it has been at the shop for a month now after the timing belt broke while driving - I lucked out with no engine damage at all, it runs and drives fine with a new timing belt on there, but I can't afford the bill for another couple of weeks. Once I have the car back, I'll post dashcam pics again, I saw an early-80s woodie station wagon in traffic a week ago but wasn't close enough to ID it before it turned right.

Good eye with the Nissan, I would never have guessed. I peered into where the grille used to be on that car - it's completely stripped under the hood. No engine or transmission. However, that grey bumper was NOT there a month ago - so somebody is looking after it, I guess.

yeah, i thought of it but right now i'm low in $$$ . Filling the fridge seems a better investment

But i'll really check them up when my wallet will feel better..

Just two hours ago, when I went at the second hottest day this year for a swim in the canal, which crosses my village, I spotted two rarities.

Something extinct:

and something, which never appeared in Continental Europe, especially not in Germany!!

I was very irritated, for what reason it's here. Not for regular usage, I'd say (sometimes our garbage-service used trucks with Dutch plates, but that are from a rental company).
I've spotted some luggage in the cab - maybe it's on the German roads for touristic reasons?? But who the f... travels with a garbage truck??

P.S. A propos British rarities. A time after I've posted the pic here (previous page), I've recognized, that this truck seems to be also very unique:

I don't know, how long and how much it was sold here, badged as Opel (after the Blitz wasn't produced any more), but it was surely just not long and only in very small numbers

I checked the plate of that Dennis.

Expired: 27 Jan 2016

Perhaps it's been sold off for export to some faraway country, towards which it's driving at a leisurely pace...

 Thanks for the info. An email to our police office is already on the way.

There's no fun about driving a vehicle without a vaild registration and especially without a vailid insurance on public roads.

I don't think there such as F-150 Super Duty

Anyway, it is 1992 Ford F-150 SuperCab (BAR reports it is 1992 Ford Ranger  ).

Whoops, I read it wrong. I was going off what the CA smog check website said (you were right, it's a Super Cab) which for some reason got lost in translation in my mind somewhere. :ddr555:

Next Saturday i am going to a Stock Car Crash Challenge and will take pictures of any interesting car i sight.

But probably the most interesting fact i already found before i went there. Do you know the TV Total Crash Challenge? The team behind that (MSC Crazy Horses) has their hometrack just nearby of my current hometown in Runkel. Crazy stuff!

"Die Ludolfs" is also very close to me now. But i dont like them.

Do you have contacts to the MSC-guys? We tried to find out more about the K 70ies, they have destroyed a time ago. But they never answered.
We've heard, that any public reaction was forbidden by the Brainpool company, after one of the crashed cars was sold later on by them at eBay.

I remember from an Enquirer magazine that had a picture of junked K70 that was used in part of car jump stunt in France many years ago. I don't know if I still have it somewhere or not :boggled:
