Last month was our family's annual beach week in North Carolina.
From the trip there:
A pair of brand-new Tug 660
1946-1948 DeSoto Custom
Military convoy in traffic near Quantico
Lamborghini Huracan
I got stuck in traffic for probably about an hour because of this 8-car collision on I-64
Chevrolet Traverse, Jeep Grand Cherokee [WJ], Jeep Grand Cherokee [WK], Toyota Camry, Dodge Grand Caravan, 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Silverado, Honda Civic Si with Florida plates
From the trip coming home:
Custom Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer with 1960s front clip but 1980s taillights
Rare US-market 2000 Chrysler Voyager (for this one year, Plymouth and Chrysler Voyagers were sold side-by-side in the US; there is no external way to tell the difference without seeing the badges)
Little Giant crane rusting away in someone's yard
The Chrysler TC by Maserati sold 7300 cars in 1989-1991 and is widely considered a failure. This used car dealership in northeast North Carolina has 2 of them.
A few snapshot from the last days. Due stressy times in job, family and about our house, I've failed to visit classic car events in the last weeks
Hopefully the times for that become better.
It's always good to have camera with you, even when you just go to the grocery. Not a real good pic, but when the Scirocco, drive by a lady of the generation 80+, I had to drop my shopping bags and fumble the camera(mobile phone) out of the pocket.
Annother bad snapshot, zoomed out of the car with my mobile phone
Funny, on the canadian Niva, CHMSL was on top of the window
Seen today while getting to the car exposition
1986-1987 BMW 325
1964 Mercury Econoline pick-up... and looks like it didn't retired yet
I'll try to post the pics from both car shows in a few days, still have some things to do ( and to choose the best ones, my camera still didn't completely forgave me the " Infiniti Drop " )
Was in front of me yesterday when i left a car event ( every friday there is some cars in a mall parking lot not so far from home ) . I went twice ( last friday and yesterday ) and went to another one also last sunday... working hard to get the pics online ASAP ( choosing pics, ID the cars, etc... )
1939 Chevrolet ( unlike the sunday's one , there is no paper identifying the cars in the friday events ) . Wish i could got the Model T leaving the event on a pic too....
DURING the meeting!!! Are they really so boring that even you need to escape??
Well - yes. Indeed. We know each other since many, often for more than twenty years and our cars, too. We have helped each other to keep them running, so there's nothing spectacular any more at all. So the sociability among friends is more important.
Plus the fact, that many of our spouses -at least all- really hate it, when we are all standing around open bonnets and are talking about the bits inside.
Something, which is sometimes not even really helpful
Here you see 250 years of K 70-experience (really, I've just counted it again)
at one place - and the problem of the kansasbeige K 70 in the middle could not be solved
There was even a large disagreement about the reason of the problem in general.
1 Chevy Corvair ( i think )
2 ? for me too....
4 Oldsmobile Toronado
5-6 ?? to me ...
8 yep, looks Dodge but not 100% sure
11 and 12 are the same... and 12 wins ( but it could also be a 1984 )
13 has the 1987 composite headlight
15 is a nice family pic
16 is a 1994-1996 Grand Prix ... could have bought a 1996 one ( a GTP ) in 2003 but i turned down the offer because my 1990 Ford Tempo was still running good back then..... sometimes i think i should had bought it... maybe i would still have it...

Didn't even notice 11 and 12 being the same, I took those a while ago.
