Today i finally scanned our Dia Pictures. I am not sure if Dia is the correct english term. English Wikipedia said its a reversal Film.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reversal_film)

Those pictures are from 1986 to 1988. I will give you a little explanation what you see.

Dutch Police bike on a flower convoy in Nordwijk. This is a very special annual event in the Netherlands, a little bit like the "Rosenmontag" in Germany.



The white VW Scirocco is from my Grand-Uncle (uncle of my mother).



Audi 80 from my grandpa.



The following Pictures are from a helicopter landing in Berlin in 1988.

And an unknown american military truck photographed in Germany (exact Location unknown). This was photographed in the US occupied zone of Germany.

Are you sure about the photo-location? The house in the background and the rest of the scenery looks more like middle and eastern Niedersachsen/Lower Saxony. This was the British Zone, but maybe the GIs had been on the large military trainung areas in Munster, Bergen-Belsen or Bergen-Hohne.

Our family figured out that it might be the small town of Schlutup where an aunt was living. Schlutup was a border crossing town at the edge of West-Germany.

We found this picture in a Berlin-only collection.

Sorry that these Pictures are in such a terrible state. While the earlier Pictures were shot with a state-of-the-art Minolta camera, the now following Pictures were taken with an older camera from my Grandpa (father side).

Additionally those second Batch of Pictures was less well conceived and saved from sunlight. Sunlight is literally destroying those Pictures and give them this blueish tint. What bothers me more that we already checked some of them on a projector and they were okay. The Quality was decreasing during the scan.

Rare VW T2 with an unique Trailer. Despite the WW2 looking town thats actually a Photograph from 1981! Can you believe that?

My father told me that he bought the Hanomag camper on an Exhibition. The Exhibition model had a cappucino color and a grey Roof (http://www.monny.com/images/hanomag2.jpg). He asked the salesman to order a special model with a white roof and a lime green body color as visible in our Picture. I hope i can satisfy you with this very rare Hanomag camper. I have never seen one in real life (i was born after my father scrapped it) and especially not in this color combination.

The railing on the Roof rack was self constructed. It was an old brass heating pipe painted green (same as Body Color). Same goes for the weird stripes on both sides which were also not stock when my father bought this car.

You might say that this Toyota Hiace camper has a very similar Roof than the T3 camper VW built. Yes indeed, the Roof was made from the same Company!

My father has rarely made front shots and i found no good one yet. I think he liked how the bikes were hanging on the back of his car so he took so many rear shots.

Ford Taunus TC1 (2-door sedan, not a coupe).

I don't think they are in a terrible state. Sure, some of them need color and/or shadow & highlights adjustments, but they are quite sharp.

Smells a lot like a 1984-87 GM CUCV M1008.

I'd say a 1966 only (fender badge shape and location) short C-10. "Your's" is a 1965 long C-10, Baube, and both have a Fleetside bed.

Yesterday I spotted a red Scania with Mack's (from Cars) Lightning McQueen trailer on the freeway. Sadly I haven't got a photo.
But apparently Flickr has - I didn't see if it had a Dutch plate, but it was definitely in this shade of red:

And a few days ago, I spotted a JK Wrangler in front of my old elementary school - nothing unusual...until I saw it had no red lights in bumper, tiny backup lights and a 6x12 inch plate holder...

Mazda 323 is 1986-1987 ( 1988-1989 had clear rear turn signal ans 1985 was the GLC's final year )

Ford Bronco is 1982-1986 by the oval Ford badge in the grille

Ford Mustang would be 1985 by front end/no CHMSL.... however, it has 1987-1993 tail lights and the front is a different shade so it might be a nice little mix up...

i think the small pick-up is a Datsun ut not 100 % sure as i don't really know the Chevy LUV

Unknown Volks is a Golf, around 1988-1989

Chevy Nova is 1986 only.. i'll let you guess why..
Did they tried to get it in the Ford's bed ?

Subaru Unknown is a 1987-1990 Toyota Tercel

big red one : Mercury Cougar ?

Dodge one seems to be something similar to the Plymouth Satellite but not fully sure ( Roadrunner and GTX might be a possibility )

Ah I forgot about non-hatchback Tercels in the 80s....also I did find it funny that the Chevy Nova's front bumper was literally touching the Ford pickup's rear.
