I saw, yesterday, a GAZ 24-10 Volga. Break. White. In perfect condition. We never imported 24-10 officially, only 21 and 24, so they are very rare here.

Today I saw one of the fake MkV Rabbit Harlequins that our local VW dealer created back in 2007 (I didn't get a pic but here are some I borrowed of the aforementioned fakes)
A quick little history lesson on the Harlequin, if anyone is interested
back in 1995 VW created a special edition Polo, by taking 4 Polos of different colors and disassembling them and switching body panels which resulted in 4 different 'schemes' and the Polo Harlekin was born:
it was mildly popular so VWOA took four Golf GLs in late 1995 (96 models) and under the name VW Design used them as show cars to see if there was enough interest to bring the Harlekin to the US:
well I guess they decided to go for it and approximately 264 Golf Harlequins (no one knows the actual total not even VW) were built and sold in the US, Canada and even a few in Mexico.
Even the Mexican beetle joined in on the fun with some production Harlequin Beetles:
so fast forward to 2006 when VW shows this commercial for the new Volkswagen Rabbit:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMpoBL5LZGM
Cute Commercial and because of the multicolored 'baby' rabbits there was a lot of questions about weather or not VW was bring the Harlequin back... they did not but my local VW dealership decided to make these quite ugly faux Harlequins themselves by painting the body panels the different colors, back in 2007 I saw these on the lot and thinking that it was an actual VW model stopped and talked to the salesmen, who didn't even know what a Halequin was and told me that the body shop painted at least four different cars. While I love the original Harlequin and would love to own a real 96 Harlequin Golf one day (I have loved them since I saw my first one in 1996 at the same dealership) I think these fake renditions are hideous and today was the first time I have ever seen one since that day on the lot back in 07.

That’s pretty neat. Thanks for the history lesson, always fun to learn something new. I had no idea VW made special models like that. I had seen photos of multi-colored Beetles before, but didn’t know the story behind them.
I also love VW car commercials; they always portray Volkswagen as being fun and having a sense of humor.

Time for an urban legend: when Citroën opened a new factory at Rennes for the then-new Ami 6, the plant was automated. The first car to emerge fully assembled had every panel painted a different colour ...

Was that proven? Kind of funny, and a little creepy.

Just drow past a movie set on Highway 1 30 miles north of Malibu. We saw a pick up truck with a camera rig four or five Crown Vic police cars and a red Volvo P1800 in perfect condition.

Nice.
A few weeks ago David Tennant (who used to be Doctor Who) was filming a scene for a new TV series in the town where I live. I walked past them filming outside the train station without realising (I knew they were filming something, I just didn't think it would be anything significant, nothing like that has been filmed here before). Nothing interesting car wise, just a Mazda6 dressed as a minicab and a few crew vehicles. Had I known they were filming I'd have gone up early in the morning and parked my car there in the hope that it would have appeared on TV.

Having a few days in the Perthshire highlands - not a car photo, but I hope in the spirit of this page:

You can drop in to see that scrapyard Ingo was interested in (which was near Fearnan).

Nice rare find owlman!

These days, finding any Peugeot in America still running on the roads is near impossible. Last time I saw one was a 505 in North Carolina back in 2010.

Yesterday we had -at the first warm and nice day in 2013 at all- a little K 70-meeting in the Netherlands.
Also the brothers, the smaller and the bigger, have participated:
I've photographed only one K 70, because it was a new car for us. Yes, the colur is "kansasbeige", well known for is similarity to puked up porridge.
For rjluna2 a pic of a Hella-foglamp, authentic from the early 70ies, but not original VW-stuff. O.k., I can be wrong, as not all original extra options were availiable in every country. So the original VW-radios were orderable only in Germany AFAIK, definitely not in Britain, Sweden and Italy.
Spotted on the same parking:
Spotted on the cruise through the nice and wealthy villages around:
In annother village there lives a Citroen-freak. No pictures, sorry, I was just driving a roundabout. In the backyard I'vec seen an obvviously complete DS, a wrecked CX Break-carcasse and one of these six-wheeled CX-newspaper-express-delivery-vans.
Much older are the vehicles on the carroussel on the childrens playground nearby:

Nice oldies. If the cars at the carousel are really old, then maybe pity they have the modern paint job. I also like the "accidental" Lotus and the US 504.
A newer car from me, but "rather" rare - Golf Country.
EDIT: Pic lost - dead links has been removed.

A guy who lives around the block has one of these. He's a collector, he's also got a TH!NK City, an AM General M-35, a Seat Terra, a Kettenkrad, some weird (electric?) van I can't identify and a 1987-91 Ford F-350.
I have a picture of it on my old cellphone, I think - haven't seen it parked on the street for a while.
