Saw something that looked like a Renault Twizy fiberglass bodyshell towed on a trailer on the highway today...

Yesterday I saw the strangest taxi ever (considering where I live) - a ten-year-old re-registered (DP-plates) Mitsubishi L-200 Double Cab operating for Oslo Taxi.

And today I was followed by something you don't see every day - an Opel Sintra. Later, when I was heading to the fitness center, I saw a Volvo 940 with Vermont plates coming out of a garage.

I saw a car with an unusual plate this morning:

A Toyota Yaris Verso, but as it was RHD, I would guess that it is a Toyota Fun Cargo, with a Japanese licence plate?

It's a special Japanese plate for foreign travel:
Because the Japanese writing system, particularly the kana, is unique to Japan, standard-issue Japanese license plates are considered unacceptable for international travel. If a motorist wishes to bring their vehicle with them while traveling abroad, the Ministry of Transport will issue to them a plate with the hiragana and kanji scripts replaced with roman letters. The hiragana prefix is replaced by a Kunrei-shiki romanization of that character. The kanji prefecture/office code is replaced by a two- or three-letter abbreviation, the first two letters representing the prefecture, the third (if present) representing the office within the prefecture. All the numerical portions of the plate remain the same.

Thanks for the detailed info  I asked Exiv96 yesterday and he replied me the same  (but with less details)

Can you upload a photograph to the forum using the in-site upload system?
13/06/2013 @ 20:46:03: Sandie: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
No but you can upload a file to the forum. (If you click on the Add Reply button at the bottom left of the thread there's an option to attach a file below the reply box that appears on the Add Reply page).

Thanks!

Technically you can but you are not supposed to do so (and pics not used on the site itself get deleted after a few time).

For the forum there is indeed the "Attach a file" option, or else you can use www.imgur.com which is fast.
14/06/2013 @ 23:46:11: Mudflap2: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
OK, how do you paste the code onto your message from the 'Attach a File' page?

:computer:

Don't do anything. Just hit send as normal when submitting a post on the add reply page and it should appear in your post like it does here in ventrilo's post: http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-7438-53807-done_Tango.html#p53807

Sorry to annoy again, it appears that the file size is too large. Should I simply resize the picture?

Yes, do that. (Bear in mind I haven't used this means of uploading pics since I was uploading pics via the forum over three years ago though).

Testing to see what code works for Flickr to answer Mudflap's question. I used the BBcode under the share feature. Try that.

I saw a 1978 Ford Thunderbird and, much more noteworthy, a late '70s Datsun 200SX [S10] today. I very rarely see Japanese cars of that era around here.

Today, when I've used my lunch-break for a swim in the canal, I saw a Mercedes 300 SL [W198] passing.

Today, I saw Smith electric truck at the street today. At first, I thought it was an illegal truck without the 5 lights clearance roof

I checked at the Wikipedia and turned out it is the electric powered truck

MB 230 CE/W123 reg. as "vintage vehicle":

Never liked this model, but you do not see them everyday.

And nice Volvo "Amazon":

Recently I saw also a 70s Corvette C3 and MB W111/W112 cabriolet - both in mint condition, but they were too fast to take the pic.

EDIT: Imageshack lost the pics - dead links have been removed.
