I saw an orange Nissan 350Z today on I-66 with an AFI license plate like http://www.licenseplatemania.com/fotos/amerika/amerika/amerika25.jpg I wanted to get a picture but my camera battery was dead.

I'd never seen one of those plates. I looked it up; turns out it's an "Allied Forces in Italy" license plate; the U indicates the base in Udine.

Just noticed that the SAAB-museum in Trollhättan is selling two of their cars.

A streched bulletproof SAAB 900 Turbo (Probably ordered by the Swedish Government or the Police at some time).

Yes, they have.

I'm wondering, that there are still some exhibits left - wasn't the complete museum-stock sold by an auction some months ago?

The museum and all the inventories were saved in January 2012 by a combined bid from Trollhättan, SAAB AB and the Wallenberg family.

Yesterday on a big highway, I've see a late 90's Toyota Camry with Swiss plates (rare for me since they sold an handful here), a Chrysler 300 M (another rare car) and a black Chevrolet Alero with old style French plates!

Today I saw a 2010 Toyota Tundra. Unsual, because never officiall sold here. The owner seems to be a Canada-fan because there were several Canada-flags stickered on it.
But he lives in my home-district. The plate was one of the old codes, which are issued again since this year, DIN for Dinslaken.

Last Friday my wife spotted many more of them around the cross A2/A3, of those British vintage VW-fans, on the way to the event.
She said "There were several unusual VW-Cabrios among them. Some had a long back and a short, spherical roof. Others were lower than a common Käfer Cabrio and had fin-tails. At least 30 of them I've seen, nothing was younger than a T1"

I answered "Well, so you have passed more than 1 millon € on a few hundred meters" ...

If I had to guess it was a German one. Unfortunately I saw the car from a distance side-on at a T-junction so didn't see much of the back numberplate other than that it was white with black characters. The car was Silver with BBS alloys.

Thanks! The nearest Spanish consulate is apparently in Houston (about a 3 hour drive). Too bad it's not a SEAT!
