Yup, a Ford Mustang. It's from the 1987-1993 generation, although i'm sure there's others that could narrow it down more.

Is there anyone out there that could by any chance provide a rear shot of the taxi? I'm curious to know whether it was a Police Interceptor or not.

Ahh yes, hadn't noticed he had posted those. And you're right. The one from the first thumbnail is a newer 2001-2002 model
