I was just talking with 02Silverado4x4 about his fishing job in Alaska, and 58_Roadmaster hinted at this topic. As for me, I am still a college student at Indiana University attempting to graduate. Probably the best job I've had recently in town was being a bike delivery guy for Jimmy John's (a sandwich place). It wasn't as cool as being a bike messenger or anything but it made about $14 in hour.

I'm working (last Friday for 17 years) in the claim-department of an insurance company. So everyone wants money from me.
Car-crashes aren't in my job (there my wife is working), I'm busy with water- storm and fire-damages of houses, shops, interior and so on.

I am driving taxi. I showed taxiguy these photos during a previous discussion. The city, which will be unnamed for now, is small to medium size by most standards, On occasion, I will be asked to drive to our main city 50 miles or more from the office, usually to the international airport.
Here is the car, which is part of a fleet that includes 2 vans.

Within 3 weeks I will end my 7th year of working as programmer in the company where I started to work after grad school.
04/08/2008 @ 20:54:17: taxiguy: What do you do?
Well I don't have a job yet but next summer I might get one, hopefully at the local ice cream parlor. Or maybe at our neighbor supermarket. For now I'll just enjoy the rest of my summer break until I have to go back to high school in September

As a DTP operator, I'm designing print media in a small advertising agency. I work there since I finished apprenticeship in 2003.
04/08/2008 @ 22:03:11: atom: What do you do?
I work in a CNC-lathe, manufacturing parts for jet engines and stationary gas turbines.
It's a nice job, and it's more than just pressing a button and babysitting the machine, as it's not massproduction.

.for my main job i work in a print shop as a press operator..at home i run a videography and video editing business for supplemental income..i also play drums in church as well as do bmx freestyle.

Interesting about the drums, I play a little (I like it a lot more than I'm good at it). I've lived in a decently sized house for the past two years and one of my friends needed a place for his drum kit. So I had one for about 8 months and taught myself a few things. Talk about a stress reliever! Sometimes I would play so ridiculously loud, the only thing that saved me was because I didn't live in an apartment. The problem is you have to have enough space and be in a place where it's okay to make that much racket.

I write ads.

My primary job is commercial fishing for Ocean Beauty (in addition to outright cash sales). What this entails is setting, swinging, and pulling up the nets, picking the fish, and occasionally running the outboard motor. Monday's and Thursday's, from 5AM to 7PM (excluding cleaning the fish, loading them into the truck, and delivery).
I work for Moonlight Excavating as my secondary job. A family owned construction company. I work sort of as the assistant. I do all the light landscape work and I run the tractor (a 1957 Ford 600). While my boss runs the Caterpillars.

.very true..its fun "adopting" someone elses stuff.we just bought our first house and have a dedicated room for the instruments and are planning on doing an almost total isolation soundproofing job to it and even doing it ourselves is gonna cost a fortune but i wanna do it right..come on over anytime.

You lucky little son of a....
Save up and you'll have enough to import your own Mach 1
I tried to get a job this summer, and I still am, but it's hard for a lowley teenager to find work in an economy that's already dumping thousands of professionals each day... (or at least I can use that as an excuse for not having one
)
07/08/2009 @ 09:57:22: dragonboy3000: What do you do?

thanks for the kind words
. When looking for a job, take any that comes its way. Anywhere is good. I am looking at prices, $10,00 US ish for the car, $4,000 Aud ish (icl. taxes) to bring it in, and I think about $25,00 to convert to RHD. A bit of work for me...
08/08/2009 @ 18:54:11: ingo: What do you do?
Why you want to convert a car from LHD to RHD? Or it's a regulation in Down Under, that only RHD is allowed?
I've heard, that in NZ there is this law. But when I've been there in 1998, I have seen LHD-cars, all used imported US-cars.
