Done for the Seat

About the Tuk Tuk, I have some doubts... not all Tuk Tuk are from Expertise; even if it is the most common one it seems a little too easy to just list all under that make

The production of ZAZ 968 M Zaporozhets began at the end of 1979, so all theses that are 1979 should became 1980. (Just as VAZ 2105 which is 1980)

Good evening, everyone.
The De Soto Diplomat (built in several generations from 1937 - 1962) was an export-only model, which was mostly a badge-engineered Dodge or Plymouth. Since these are export models, and some were also built abroad, here are some minor changes to be made.

If there are no country-specific features, there is no reason to put all these various tags. Or else we could do it for many Japanese cars (all non-JDM models).
For such case it would be more relevant to have a generic "for export" tag...
24/04/2017 @ 13:25:27: robi: Mass change model info thread
Would it also be possible to get a "filmed in..." tag in the future, which lists the country where that particular was filmed? It would help a lot to find out more about certain vehicles in certain countries.
24/04/2017 @ 18:35:05: antp: Mass change model info thread
For the next version of the site we added a "filmed in" list of countries at movie-level, it will already help (we could then add options in vehicle search to cross-reference these movie info)

For the 2nd Generation Acura TLs [UA5] made from 1999-2003 are all named 3.2 TL. 3.2 was dropped with the 2004 redesign.

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Acura_model-UA5.html
11/06/2017 @ 09:30:56: antp: Mass change model info thread
Indeed all those of that generation were 3.2, but was it always referenced with the number in the name? They didn't continue to advertise it as just TL ?
11/06/2017 @ 16:42:25: Baube: Mass change model info thread
Just saw a brochure of the 2002 3.2TL and they use both, some sentences having 3.2TL and some only TL . But if we go by what is written on the trunklid i think it should be 3.2TL ( or with a space for better visibility ) . We do it for Lexus, Infiniti when we can so i think we should do it for Acura too

Same could apply to the EL , which was sold as 1.6EL ( 1997-2000 ) and 1.7EL ( 2001-2005 )

Edit : just found out that the 1.7 was dropped when they got the facelift in 2004, becoming only EL then

Second generation Toyota Tacoma (2005-2015 model years)

These have info that is all over the place. Some are listed as US origin, some Japan. Most have "Built in USA" tags, even though production has been split for the North American market between the US and Mexico.

Here's what it says on Wikipedia:

"In 2000, Toyota began development of the second generation Tacoma under chief engineer Chikuo Kubota.[15] Majority of development work was handled by Hino in Japan. Designers Shigeya Hattori and Hideo Karikomi of Hino, won the internal design competition in 2001."

From my thread here:
"In 2002, Toyota added production of the Tacoma in Mexico, and both US and Mexican made Tacomas have been sold since then. Production at NUMMI was transferred to Texas in 2011."

https://imcdb.kelcommunity.be/forum_topic-7467-54259-US_made_Japanese_cars.html#p54259

So I think these trucks should be "Origin: Japan"; "Built in: (blank)"; and most are "Made for: USA", though a couple are Canada

What about older ones? Three have US origin, but that should be fixed too I guess.
Only 2016+ is US-origin then?
And do I keep the made-in-US for pre-2005 models ? Or do I remove it for all ?

According to Wikipedia, the first generation was designed at Calty in California. So, the first generation should be "Origin: USA".

"Development began in 1989, following launch of the fifth generation Toyota Pickup in late 1988 and concluded in 1994. Design work was done at Calty Design Research in California from 1990 to 1992, when Kevin Hunter's exterior design proposal was chosen in the autumn of 1991 and in final form, frozen for production in 1992. Patents for the production design were filed in Japan in April 1993 and October 28, 1993 in the United States."

The 1995-2001 models were "Built In: USA". The 2002-2004 could be made in either the US or Mexico.

Third generation was developed at the Calty Center in California and in Ann Arbor Michigan.

"CALTY designers in Newport Beach, Calif. and Ann Arbor, Mich. helped make the new Tacoma all about recreational action and athletic agility."

• Could these 30 2007-13 Chevrolet Silverado HD be given the GMT911 model code? 2 of them already have it, but most of the others have the GMT901 one, although this latter should only be used with the "non HD" models.
• Same idea for these GMC siblings, which should have the GMT912 model code. As 2 of them already have the good code, I can handle the 12 that have to be modified. But if a script can do it faster...

I saw on Wikipedia that the Ford Cargo trucks that were made for the Americas were made in Brazil. Checked out a few VIN's on some commercial truck sites, and they showed the numbers starting with "9BF", which is a Ford Brazil code.

Here are the rest of the CF-7000. They should probably also be changed to "Built In: Brazil":
