Should we change the tag of CMC Varica and Veryca to
Model origin: JP — Built in: TW — Made for: RC ?

Varica is based on CMC Minicab [U10], but CMC Minicab is based on the Mitsubishi's version
Veryca is based on Mitsubishi Town Box Wide [U60], but heavily modified the exterior

From what they say on Wikipedia, maybe JP origin only until 1989, as it was restyled in Taiwan after that?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CMC_Veryca#Third_generation_(1989-1997)
But maybe the article is not precise enough

Ok, after some searching, Varica from 1989 to 2007 were indeed R&D in Taiwan
https://www.7car.tw/articles/read/548
Then these should change to Model origin: TW

I cane help to identify the model year later

As for Veryca, it's kind of like Delica, their chassis were based on Japanese version even the exterior is different now

Is "Super" part of the name?
Not just "V365T" ?

Also, is this one also V365T ? https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_470043-Daewoo-Super-V-1993.html
Or are there other V-something?

According to Alex's findings posted here:
https://imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1127898
I think we can change all Fiat Duna, Duna Weekend, Elba, Premio, Penny, Citivan to [155], like we already use for Innocenti Elba.
Also, we can uniform all Fiat Fiorino 2a serie to origin: Brazil.
Thanks in advance

Done
There are a few 1a serie that should be changed to origin=Italy, I suppose?
https://imcdb.org/search.php?resultsStyle=asList&sortBy=0&make=Fiat&model=Fiorin- o
Also, why so many made for tags (I, D, F, etc.)? What's specific in these versions?
06/12/2022 @ 12:05:34: 48bux: Mass change model info thread
Were already there, but the first series wasn't sold in the same guise/motors in all markets of Europe (for example GB always got the italian version and never the brazilian/diesel/unified front ones) so I think were added for this reason
I believe first series that have origin BR are the diesel version which was based on the brazilian 147 and was built there, I'll take a look later and change manually if needed. Anyway thank you!

Edit: done.

How does everyone feel about changing the origin for the R51 Nissan Pathfinder? These were never sold in Japan. I believe US was the first market to get them in 2004 followed by EU in early 2005.

Question is do we mass update them to US origin for all R51 ? Do we only update NA spec models to US origin ? Do we update Spanish built to EU origin?

Do we leave them alone? Seems silly since Japan did not domestically produce the R51. Any thoughts on this?

 It was not just a different engine in the same car?
Or were both versions really different?
Also, what about the early 127 Fiorino?

It has no sense to have a different origin between NA and EU models if they're basically the same vehicle  That's rather the role of the "made in" & "made for" fields.

Even if they did not produce it in Japan, the "origin" country is rather from which Nissan branch it was conceived. Was it from Nissan America or Europe? Or from the Japanese headquarters?

There are many cars that were never produced in their "home" country (being American or Japanese cars, or from the various European countries)

No, they had different fronts and also some differences in mechanics, suspension etc. The early 1978-80 127 Fiorino and italian-built 1980-82 Fiorino were based on italian 127, whereas the diesel ones and 1983+ "unified front" Fiorino were based on brazilian 147 and built in Brazil  those brazilian-built ones weren't available in some EU markets like GB, Sweden and possibly others which continued to receive italian-built ones without diesel engine.

As the mk2 was the only one build by Hyundai, is it really useful to have that Series II included? (which should then be Mk2) ?

OK  Maybe it would be better to include "Diesel" in the model name of the pre-1983 models, to make them more identifiable? (instead of just "D" in extra info, as they were badged as such, no?)
Weird that they kept the Italian model just for some market after that...
07/12/2022 @ 20:05:07: 48bux: Mass change model info thread
They are currently split by the specific code [127A.5], so maybe not really necessary?
Yes, that was a quite weird situation

Yes (Hyundai Ford Granada Only)
08/12/2022 @ 13:57:15: dsl: Mass change model info thread
I don't know Hyundai Granada details, but browsing our collection they seem to match European sequence very closely, with an initial version and then a minor facelift. We call all this body Granada Mk2, with no change in name for the facelift.

1at version - 1979+ for Hyundai - plain black grille, vertical rear lights - example
2nd version - 1982+ for Hyundai - new 3 bar grille, ridged rear lights - example

I suggest they are all entered as Mk2 to follow Europe sequence, but no need to split further before/after 1982 facelift.
08/12/2022 @ 14:40:13: antp: Mass change model info thread
Yes they match the mk2, but what I meant is that all the Hyundai versions were mk2, so I wondered if the mk was needed for that one.
