Changed them but most of them don't have comments explaining why.

And the last one, you looked up the plate and it returned 1998, so I left that one alone.

I changed the last one. Pulled the build sheet. Subaru indicates it is a 1999 model built in 1998. The date he referenced was the registration year.

So 1991-1995 should be changed to AS at the same time? (for those without a code)
And NS since 1996 it seems?
18/08/2024 @ 15:02:22: dhill_cb7: Mass change model info thread
Only US built carry S 1984-1990. 1991-1995 are AS for US built.

Austrian built carry ES 1991-1995.

Grandeur LX was introduced in September 1992, so should be listed as 1993 as Hyundai uses model years IIRC.

Chassis code for 2001-05 Civic Coupe is [EM2], according to dhill's comment

And which name is correct? Civic Coupe or Civic Coupé?
03/09/2024 @ 08:02:59: antp: Mass change model info thread
Is it the same code for all markets? As we had differences for other Honda models.
Isn't it better to just use [EM]?

About Coupe/Coupé, one should check US brochures to see if they included the accent or not.
Often it is uppercase which tends to eliminate accents, but here for example they did not put an accent: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/fnQAAOSwV0RXq1g2/s-l1600.jpg

Between 1950 and 1990 it was quite common to omit accents on uppercase, as I said. Mostly because typewriters, and making composition cheaper for printed stuff.
If you check lowercase occurrences, the accent appears (for the FR Legend on page 6 and for the NL S800 at the bottom of the last page)

I think 327 Cabriolet's and 327 Sport-Kabriolett's should be merged as Sport-Kabriolett's. Seems like it's the same thing, they were all 327 "Sport" Coupe's or Kabriolett's no matter what their spec. Also in the period material Kabriolett is used.. see https://ibb.co/JrK770f

We could indeed. But wasn't "Cabriolet" used outside Germany by any chance?
08/09/2024 @ 02:30:14: 993cc: Mass change model info thread
For one they're definitely all "Sport". Now it's very hard to find period written material by BMW. In any case it's impossible to know with these cars which market they come from originally. I have found 2 official period files and it's Sport-Kabriolett in both. I believe they were just named by following up on what's already there and after searching modern info where today of course they're referred to as Cabriolet's. There's no real reasoning on how they're split...
