why so? (selling..)

I've had it since new, which will be getting on for ten years before I know it, and due to a change of job shortly after buying it has about 100,000 less miles on it than any other T5 of it's age! I can't expect it to stay mechanically faultless forever though, so this or next year will be a very sensible time. Plus i don't need such a beast anymore.

Yeah, they are great cars, I've had volvos for about 12 years now, I had an 850 before that was pretty good but became unreliable due to it's hard life before I bought it. (But told a lesson..I'm not buying a used car with a towbar again!)

if that is with an automatic transmission, that can be a fatal combination..

I look at some of the claims that have been posted and have to wonder. It takes a lot of horsepower to go 150 MPH and I seriously doubt that some of the vehicles mentioned can actually do an honest 100 MPH.

Once accidentally got up to 90 on the toll road.

It takes a lot of horsepower when it's a massive American car, but not so much when it's a light European car. A 3.2 litre Vauxhall Vectra can do 150 mph, and it only has 210bhp. My old Fiat Punto could do 100 mph (just) and that only had 75bhp.

125 mph in an S-type Jaguar 4ltr V8 on a Slovenian motorway, between Ljubljana and Trieste - I didn't mean to, but the thing was so damn quiet!
The most fun, though, was doing 115 on the Autostrada Adriatica in a Porsche Boxster with the top down - even if I was overtaken by, amongst others, an Opel Astra!

Fastest car I've ever driven was a dirt track stock car, based on a 1980s Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It was running a high-compression 355 ci. (That's either 5.7 or 5.8 liters, for my metric friends) small block V8 with some ungodly level or horsepower...over 500, I'm fairly sure. Belonged to a former employer (owned his own garage and raced the thing on weekends...he's the top driver around here) who let me run the thing up and down the road in front of the shop to test it. I opened it up all right, but didn't hit a very high speed. Sure felt that power, though. Scary and fun.

Fastest speed I've ever driven at was around 105 mph in a 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta (my first car).

I haven't got my licensce (however you spell it) but my dad has gone 180 mph in one of the armys VW Sciroccos

Fastest I`ve been was in my old 81 911 3.2, it was indicating 175mph but it was probably around 10% out[it also did sub 5 second 60`s].

I`ve done over 140 in my Boxster, over 140 in a 3.0 manual Vauxhall Carlton Estate!! [yes really, 1 of 27 built by Vauxhall, AND it was still pulling hard!]

I got caught doing 143mph by the police in 1991 in a brand new Alfa 164 3.0 Cloverleaf & got away with it!

I also got caught doing over 120mph in a 30mph zone in a Vauxhall Senator 3.0 12v by an unmarked VW Passat police car [I actually thought they were racing me till I saw the blue lights in the distance!], that was 7 years ago & I got away with it because they were called to a robery!

I regulary go over 100mph in my Jags, at night I cruise at around 130, I know theres cameras everywhere & even though over 100 is now an instant ban & possibly a prison sentance, but I just cant help myself sometimes, the cars I drive are easily capable of these speeds & I dont do it in stupid places & obviously never in places where theres camera`s I know about.

I tend to get bored & loose concentration when I`m doing the limit, especially at 2am on the motorway.

I dont think I`ll ever grow out of it...

Didn't they get your plate number? I know some 30 speed limits are often a bit over-cautious for some roads but 120 in a 30 mph zone is pretty mental! (no offence)

I did about 130 mph in my old 1990 Acura Integra a looong time ago. Mild mods to engine (intake, headers, exhaust) and Mugen Racing suspension. This was on a highway in New England, forget where. All I remember were the white lines going by real fast and how quickly the curves were approaching...

I don't think I've ever topped 100 mph in the Westfield, now I've got a crash helmet I might try it again. When your head sticks out over the screen & there no doors or roof, it felt fast enough! Fastest passenger ride was hitting the limiter in a Merc, which is 155mph I believe.

Fastest car driven is an Audi A4 Avant V6, again subject to the limiter, but I didn't get far over 125 before noticing - they're too quiet! On the roads big enough for silly straigt-line antics there's too many cameras.
