First car I ever drove on a highway was my mother's 1977 Ford Country Squire station wagon.

taxiguyFirst car I drove was my mom's 1990 Plymouth Voyager. I was 12, and we were on vaction in a very rural area. There was a very long private road leading up to the cottage we were staying in. Every time we would leave the cottage to go into the town I would drive the van down the little road and then hand the controls over to my mother when we got to the real roads.
The first car I drove for real was the driver's ed Oldsmobile, a 2002 Alero.

A couple of hours ago, Dads 1997 Ford Fairlane (auto trans). Got my learners a few days ago, and I did circuts in a car park for an hour. Next up is mums manual (hopefully tommorow
). I also learnt a bit of parking. Luckily their were no cars for me to hit!!!

taxiguyCongradulations! Driving is great fun once you get past the initial confusion and scariness. After a while it becomes totally effortless, like riding a bike or swimming.

Congrats from me too marioman. Agree with everything taxiguy says, driving is one of the best things that happens in life in my opinion.
Incidentally, the first car i ever drove was my mum's manual Honda Civic.
