Did you look at the attached link? A lot of your questions are answered there. The Sprinter is doing fine and sells four times as well as the Metris. Most buyers felt the Metris was too expensive for their needs and the interiors too cheap for a Mercedes-Benz. The main reason is that they used a Nissan engine that Nissan is discontinuing. They don't have a replacement engine for North America. The Sprinter also offers that engine plus a diesel. They are just going to sell the diesel until they release an all electric Sprinter. The other engines that Europe offers on the Vito are not certified in the US.

I know the Sprinter is selling well, I assumed the Metris wasn't as it was in the same segment as those vans above, and people weren't used to a luxury car maker's vehicle there.
BTW, very interesting that Metrises have body-colored bumpers even as Vitos. In Europe the Vito as the workhorse has basic equipment and only unpainted bumpers, while the V-Class is the family van with painted bumpers, multimedia capability and luxurious equipment.

And now it's the Ford Transit Connect for North America, gone by the end of 2023. They were planning on moving production to Mexico, but that's been scrapped to make way for an electric Transit instead. The TC will become an Euro-exclusive vehicle.

Dead: Ram ProMaster City (the American version of the Fiat Doblo)
And now the last of the small cargo vans sold in the US is being killed, the Ram ProMaster City is being discontinued at the end of the current model year (really early 2023 to fill orders).
They say the small vans advantage was the better gas mileage and now with electric vans coming, that advantage is done. That's why all five models that were sold here are now dead.

Borgward Is Dead Again
Back in 2015, Borgward announced it was back from the dead. The name and trademark had been sold to a Chinese company, and less than a year later, Zombie Borgward had a car to sell called the BX7. It didn’t last long, though, as the undead automaker is officially dead again.
Autocar reports that Borgward has declared bankruptcy and is looking for the court’s approval to liquidate its assets. The company reportedly owes creditors more than $750 million, with ownership currently split between Foton, a truck division of BAIC and Ucar, a Chinese mobility company.

Mercedes-Benz Set to Kill Most Coupes and Wagons in Its Lineup
In the coming years, Mercedes-Benz will drastically reshape its portfolio.
A number of two-door coupes, wagons, and SUV coupes are destined for discontinuation.
Going forward, expect a greater focus on top-end variants from AMG and Maybach, as well as super-exclusive Mythos models.
Only 14 of 33 Body Styles Will Survive.
In May 2022, Mercedes-Benz outlined its latest long-term strategic plan, which involves drastically resizing and reshaping its massive product portfolio to move even further upmarket and become even more profitable.
We talked to several top managers in Untertürkheim and Sindelfingen to find out exactly why they believe that wagons, coupes, and convertibles have an uncertain future—or no future at all. The new model mix may boost profits, but it contains fewer emotional products. Based on what we've seen, of the 33 body styles Mercedes currently offers between Europe and the U.S., only 14 will survive.
The C-class and E-class coupes and convertibles will cease to exist sometime between 2023 and 2024, to be replaced by a pair of two-door CLE-class models. Current coupe-like SUVs and sedans aren't long for this world, either. The CLS-class will depart in 2024, and the sharper AMG GT 4 Door will follow along in 2024 or 2025. New generations of GLE and GLC Coupes will debut in the coming years, but after that, their lineages will also end.
The Europe-market C-class wagon will be gone after 2028. Later this year, we'll see the next-generation E-class, which will spawn the automaker's last wagon, bidding farewell at the end of its production run in 2030. The next-gen CLA-class, which will ride on the MMA electric platform and is due to debut in 2025, will be the brand's last shooting brake (in Europe).
There are still some interesting vehicles on the horizon, though. Later this year, Mercedes-AMG will launch the new GT coupe; it will be based on the current SL roadster, which will also expand its lineup with a new Maybach offering. In 2026, we will see a new four-door coupe, as well as a next-generation SL with more cargo and rear-seat space, and a new AMG GT coupe, all of which will be electric. And speaking of EVs, the MMA platform will also serve as the backbone for a chunky GLG-class SUV in 2026.

Isuzu then decided to go Forward with a new design..
For that Isuzu had to come back on the market - in Germany (whole EU?) they left some years ago (no idea when, nothing said on Wiki)
Isuzu was never really visible here, and there was no remarkable advertising - not as in Northern America:
