It's a Jensen CV8 that some oaf has ruined by removing the bumpers and fitting modern wheels.
Probably best known for being the transportation of 'The Baron': http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_62129-Jensen-CV8-104-2303-1965.html

Thanks. Another make I often forget to think about, despite the amazing (2nd) Interceptor.
The Baron was broadcast only once in France, in late 1967. This may explain why I never heard about it before

Some pictures from this weekend at Hot Rod Reunion at Malmby airstrip.
We crawled into a '64 Impala and had a cruise around the campgrounds four in the morning.
Pretty cool Amazon Gasser
We helped a friend to load his Chevy, he had a busted steering but the gaspedal worked just fine as you can see.
Loaded and ready to head home on his modified Volvo Ikarus articulated bus. My friends '56 Oldsmobile that we had for the 340 km trip in the background.

Hi, here some pics that i took at a car show in Terrbonne last year. The show was open to every vehicle built before 1990 ( except for a 2014 Corolla S and a 2014 Tundra as the event was sponsored by a local Toyota dealer and a Fisker Karma because its a rare vehicle ). Sadly , there wil be no 2015 edition of it as it got cancelled due to bad weather...
Here is the oldest one that was there, i think it was a 1914 but i'm not sure
Here is the dashboard of a 1926 Ford Model T ( years are approximative, i had to rely on wikipedia, google, vintage license plates and the papers in the cars ). As we can see, we'll have to wait a few years for SYNC and MyTouch..
Hungry ? i was but food was fake...
weird idea to get the speedometer moving with a fixed needle but the 1958 Edsel Ranger ( and maybe other Edsel ) was having that feature
Eleanor in disguise
Convertible Beaumont
rear shot
not the original one but at least it had the horn
i was almost drooling on this one ( and fellow Buick Grand National/GNX ) as a kid and would probably had drool for real if it had the T-Top
Surely not expected in a car show but as i said, open to every car as long as it was built in 1990 or under. Kind a little memory triggering machine as my grandfather had a dark blue one ( a 1986 )
Only the 2nd one i saw of that generation
Twin-engine Suzuki Swift. The car actually went on a TV show called Équipé pour rouler but sadly i can't find any video on internet
sadly, the reflection from the window hides it but we can see part of the 2nd engine in place of the rear seats
The Fisker Karma.... funny as that hi-tech vehicle was parked with a bunch of Model T and Model A
Family pic
if interested, full views and more to see at https://www.flickr.com/photos/zytonits/albums/72157658008403772/page1

It's a free show. Is a passport required for a Canadian to come to the US? US citizens don't need one to visit Canada.

Today I went to the Selkirk car rally in the Scottish Borders. Going to copy over a massive post I put on another forum and hope it works...
NOTE: I started out identifying all the cars but got bored of doing that it was time consuming to get the dates for the plates so I only ID the 'less obvious' (in my opinion) ones. If there's not IDed you want to know, ask:
Some Leyland Tractors:
Mitsubishi Shogun in mint condition:
MK1 Ford Escort fitted with a V6 engine from a Mondeo ST:
1958 Beardmore Paramount taxi
1968 Austin A60 1/2-Ton Pickup
1968 Morris Minor Fire Engine
1963 Land-Rover 109" Series IIa Fire Engine
1963 Austin Gipsy Fire Engine
1983 Bedford CF Fire Engine
1952 Pontiac Chieftain
1968 Wolseley Hornet
1971 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce
1969 Bond Equipe
I thought this was a Whizzkid but never realised they were around as early as 1972. Turns out that it's a Suzuki Fronte Coupe (a car I never heard of and predecessor of the 'Whizzkid'/SC100)
1963 Vanden Plas Princess 3-Litre:
1977 Vauxhall Magnum 2300
Cool that someone came in a scruffy mid-90s Montego
Really surprised to see one of these (probably nothing special to American/Canadian posters) but here's a Mercury Capri I was so surprised I didn't see the Renault Dauphine:
Some Alvis (I don't know these old models well):
This Cavalier had 18000 miles from new:
Another HIGHLIGHT:
Two Jowett Javelins:
And a Jowett Jupiter:
Some Gilberns:
Including this nice GT:
And an Invader
Riley 4/72
TD Cars 2000 (a Malaysian made MG replica):
Vanden Plas Princess 1750 (a posh Austin Allegro in other words):
Some new cars were displayed by dealers including an unusual 2015 MG6 (destined to be completely uncommon, 65 on plate is new since September):
Swallow Doretti:
Another Swallow Doretti (think this one may have been posted by me on a previous spotting occassion):
Ronart W152:
dsl stuff:
(I only took this one because I was surprised they had Rootes Group on them)
Weirdly there were no Imps (other than a Clan Crusader which I didn't photograph as I saw it last time at the same show), no Beetles/Karmann Ghias/Golfs or no Marinas (there usually is).

@ night cub : according to your embassy's website, we do since 2007. Found some websites that says that enhanced driver licence is also accepted but my guess is that the embassy is more reliable than those ones..well, getting confusing now, US border website is talking about enhanced driver licence or nexus card ( ? )

Quote from Sandie : Really surprised to see one of these (probably nothing special to American/Canadian posters) but here's a Mercury Capri
Mercury Capri is a nice surprise here too now, saw only one ( a 1979-1982 ) in the last 2 years
sorry for the unusual way to quote but my computerosaurus choked on your posted when i wanted to do it the regular way, then got tired of scrolling up and down for the Capri part ( not to mention having to delete everything not related to the Capri... )
Nice pics.. is the black Escort GT or XR3i ?

Impressions from my visit at the http://www.veterama.de/en/home yesterday.
After some hours I became lazy with making photos, because I was really groggy - caused by the unexpected great success
I could grab several NOS-K 70-parts, several plates for my collection and a few other things, also things for other people, even IMCDb-ists
I was very happy, that I could take again the perfect equipment with me:
On the way to Mannheim I've passed this burning Bus:
http://hessenschau.de/panorama/reisebus-brennt-zweimal-auf-der-a3-,busbrand-idstein-104.html
"Sold. At home I have annother Mochet"
3100 €:
Although nearly extinct, 1650€ seems to be a lot -too much- money for this Escort. The wheel arches are probably not the only filler-artwork:
Unsure, if the grille is the only hack job-part here:
"price on request"
67.000 €:
At the time, since the South American currencies lost a lot of value, it seems to be lucrative to import vehicles from there:
2222 €:
Funny, that this car could find a buyer in the deepest enemy-country (NSU and Fiat Deutschland)
@cl82: does the dealer still exist?
This was just for decoration:
-uh, no, it wasn't! Now I see the cardboard with the comment "sold" inside
It's so typical -and typical annoying- :
If you on any car-event, everywhere, everytimes, open the bonnet, immediately a bunch of blokes will come and goggle inside
No matter if a muscle car or just a profane Passat...
One of the fat gentlemen become very impolite and said a nasty word to me
When I took the pics of this dsl-car, he joked and jumped around and inside the camera-view - but I told him: "Hey ya, ugly blokes as you are disturbing the nice impression of this wonderful piece in automotive history!"
Haha, someone tried to create a Wehrmacht-truck with a Ford FK 1000:
this plate looks like an uthentic German pre-war-plate:
Now impressions of vehicles, which were not for sale:
I think, this version was never officially sold in Germany:
Westfalia-conversion:
"Scholz Brüderchen" ("litte baby-brother") http://www.scholz-bruederchen.de/23643.html was made in Norway, by Wideroe`s Flyveselskap A/S Fornebu Oslo.
The Danish owner sold, as last year, too, a bunch of NOS K 70-parts for a fair price to me

By plate check, the teal VW is a 1964 now owned in Sigmar by a seemingly Peruvian couple (Alatrista Sotillo de Krause and Elva Hermelinda Krause)
The white pickup is apparently from 1500 owned by the aforementioned couple.
