Is it possible to add a field for license plate number to link the same vehicle in different movies?
Some vehicles appear in different movies and I would like to be able to search and find all of them.
Also if I see an old vehicle in real life it would be interesting to know which movies it has partipated in.

Here is an example of the same vehicle appearing in three different movies:

In the next version of the site we added possibility for linking vehicles in several cases:
- same vehicle re-used
- same role (may be the same vehicle, may not)
- following the role of another vehicle (e.g. "improved" version of a car)
- simple reference to another car (parody, etc.)
- stunt double
- archive footage

Maybe we could add a plate field, but that's a lot of work entering plates each time (and if it is not done each time, it has not much use)
So for now we chosen not to put such field, the "link" feature is useful for finding linked vehicles.

And if you ask me when this new site will be available, I'll reply as always: when it will be finished. We do not often work on it, so it takes a long time

A license plate field would be interesting for those police Kias that keep popping up in various british films & TV series, for instance, but think about the number of unrelated cars with the same fake "2GAT123" California plates. We'd have hundreds !

I could add a "same licence plate" case in the link system that I mentioned above, but I'm not sure it would have a big interest if it is just for these fake prop plates.

Maybe in a few years time, someone from Buzzfeed will discover IMCDb and publish an article such as "You'll never guess how many cars had the same license plate in Hollywood movies !"
