I'd say out of the few cars I have ever driven, my mom's 2004 Honda Accord is the fastest with a top speed of 160mph.

Each week on open roads: 250km/h with differents cars. The cars are all limited to 250km/h. Living near the german border and working for a german car manufacturer helps

We have already 10 in Holland, and there will be even more. Top speed at these sections is 80 or 100...(because of the air pollution , or is to get money... )

I don't think I've ever driven a car that has top speed of much more than 110 mph, not that I've ever driven that fast. I've only driven a handful of cars, none of them had a engine larger than a 1.4 litre, but then I've only had a licence for 2 years. I had my first driving lesson when I was 17. I think the fastest I've ever driven was about 95mph (the needle showed 100mph but it was slightly inaccurate) on a motorway, though it was only for about a minute and I think I was going downhill. I never normally go that fast. That was in my Fiat Punto which was my first car, and that speed was nearly flat-out for it. My current car is a 1991 Renault Clio 1.4 RT, I drove to London last weekend and on the way back I was doing 80mph most of the way, but at 85mph it felt less stable and was probably pushing the engine a little. I would not like to drive it at 100mph, though I doubt it could go that fast, it's ideal cruising speed is about 75mph. Small hatchbacks aren't great motorway cars, they get blown about a lot and their engines usually aren't powerful enough to cruise comfortably at 80 all day, whereas if you were in a large executive car that speed wouldn't feel as fast. It's partly about what car you're, 100mph would feel much faster in a Caterham Seven than in a Mercedes S-Class.

In Britain the official motorway speed limit is 70 mph but nearly all the cars go faster than that. You're pretty safe driving up to 85 mph (road and weather conditions permitting) on most motorways, but if you go much faster than that you run the risk of being pulled over or clocked by a speed camera. Obviously if you see a police car on the road, you slow down a bit. If you get caught driving over 100 mph you'll probably lose your licence.

Jesus. Was that on an autobahn? In Britain you'd be taking a hell of a risk at that speed, there's so many cars on the road and so many speed cameras.

Broke my record while visiting my Grandpa's ranch in Alaska. And it was in my Tempo. 95MPH.

Ha. Faster the better. And where we live, in North Kenai which has a population barely into double digits, police are rare. So its easy to speed.

No kidding, my uncle hit one at 60MPH on a freeway. Totaled his then new 1996 Buick Roadmaster. But its rare to hit them, especially during day time. They seem to come out evening and night. I've only heard of five moose hits, on fatal.
