I spotted a 1985 Toyota Corolla (by the plate) in Delray Beach, FL. These days I hardly see Corollas from that generation, especially in Florida.

Ugly but extremely rare as named Scorpion. In Italy there's one too around Naples, spotted and posted on many sites/Facebook groups.
In the first picture I see also a Lancia Lybra sedan... Mustn't be so diffused in Germany, I guess

Here a pic of annother Lybra in my village. But it's parking in the wreck-corner of this dealership. Most probable it will be crushed, because, when I asked the dealer for an old clnker for ecclefechan, he told me, that they don't sell such cars. All cars, on which they cannot give any dealer's warranty, will be picked up by the scrapdealer.

Or, if this car is something very extraordinary outstandin for anyone, shall I make a try?
But I don't know anything about defects or the reasons, why it shall be wrecked. It's most probable not in good condition, especially inside, because it was the company-car of a painterman.

Italian car + British registration plate = less taxes/cheaper insurance. :joce:

I really think that he can find something of better directly in Italy, rather than a car owned by someone who didn't bothered to don't scratch the bumper with his paint cans.

In Belgium a car sold by a professional (garage or dealer) must come with a warranty. No matter what is said/signed, the seller must offer a warranty on it.
The only way for a professional to sell a car without warranty is to sell it for export. Once bought it that way, it can still be registered in the country though.

This warranty is EU-wide, not only for Belgium or Germany.

There are two more possibility for professional dealers to avoid the warranty:
- sell it commissioned by a private person (the dealer's name don't appear in the papers and the contract

- sell it as a wreck/scrap for spare parts.

But these tricks can be problematical. In Germany some dealers were punished by the court and their transactions rescinded, when they fooled buyers with these dodges.

selling as a wreck would probably prevent from registering it again, no? I think at least in France it is the case

In Germany not necessarily. It depends on, how the registration was cancelled. Mostly the temporary de-registration is usual: the papers were postmarked and the silver stickers in the plates scratched off. Up to 7 years you can bring the vehicle with these papers and this number back into traffic.

It's also possible to get a vehicle out of registration for export or scrapping. Then, besides the postmark in the papers and the destroyed plate-stickers, the the lower right edge of the "Fahrzeugbrief" (= title) will be clipped off. In this case the registration, also the number, expired immediately.
It is possible to bring back the vehicle to a registration afterwards, but it's a bit elaborate and costs more money.
It's the same way, as you want to have a registration for a vehicle with no German registration or no papers (import, papers expired more than 7 years or lost papers).

P.S. The conviction of these dealers didn't depend on the papers, they were based on the condition of the cars.

A complete, roadworthy vehicle, which can pass the TÜV-inspection without or with just minor repairs, is no wreck or scrap according the German judicature.

It seems, that the Lybra was a little success in my village: half an hour ago I've seen annother one, also a silvermetallic SW.

Maybe the selling was pushed by the price: a plate-fellow told me, that around 2004/2005 his local Fiat/Lancia-dealer had flogged brand new Lybras with a discout of 65% :wam: So you could get a brand new car for a bit more than the third of the regular price.

What is the best usage for a Rover? Well...

My wife woolgathers about buying a brand new car, so today we looked at different dealer's showrooms.
This unknown thing I've spotted at a dealer for a lot of brands (Hyundai, Jeep, Fiat, Lancia, Alfa, Mitsubishi, Daihatsu)

Another dealer vice versa offers this brand new car for 11.730 € (one of the cheapest cars on the German market):

Like the camo-HH-R, even if I cannot explain it.

There are also a small number of Nivas imported to the UK unofficially: http://www.markkey.co.uk/

These two clunkers are standing in my village. The ground-owner, our local auto-painter told me, that they are not for sale. But he don't know, what shall happen with them. They were used in a movie-production.

The owner is:

When I saw her photsets,

I had a real :wow: -effect. At the "Editorial"-page, you see a TV-Set - it's a DDR-made "Stassfurt" from 1972! Exactly the same model, my parents had as their first TV, and later on it was my first own TV.

Unknown thing is a Ligier Be-Up. [...]

Guy Ligier died a month ago at the age of 85. Apprentice butcher, rugby player, motorcycle racer, race car driver, Formula one team owner, sports car, racing car and... micro-car maker, he had a complete and full life.
His fiery character made people appreciate or dislike him, hardly anyone stayed indifferent

FUCK!!!

I had to notice, that my Imageshack-account is screwed! All pics seems to be gone!

But the most interestings are still on my PC and an the camera-cards. I just need the time to edit the postings and upload them directly in the forum.

It will be terrible work, AFAIK there had been a few thousands pics on that account!

Let us hope:

Dear Ingo,
